Vår guide Sylvia körde oss till två olika vingårdar i vinregionen Chateauneuf de Pape. Hon var mycket informativ, vänlig och humoristisk och gav många anekdoter/insikter på väg till vingårdarna. På vingårdarna diskuterade vinmakare detaljer angående processen för att producera vinerna och vi hade provningar av flera viner i varje vingård. Florian var en härlig och lättsam guide, mycket kunnig och lätt att komma överens med. Jag lärde mig mycket på den här resan och drack mycket vin. Cheateauneuf - de - Pape består av många vingårdar - du besöker 2 av dem, varav en innehåller ett museum och inkluderar en vinprovning, och den andra är en utbildning i vinprovning (hur man luktar, hur man smakar, etc.) . Mixed feelings

I think the tour guide was new, he was knowledgeable about the are and gave interesting commentary. Some interactions were a bit awkward. The first winery was a poor experience and it was the first time time the tour went there. I'd suggest more testing before making the changes. The 2nd winery was an improvement but still average. Overall very expensive to visit 2 wineries and only taste 3 wines at each.

They made the most of a...

They made the most of a half day wine tour but we were left wishing we had spent the time differently. The guide was very nice and the transportation was comfortable. We spent most of the trip going through a museum with an audio guide which didn't feel like the best use of the time. That stop was also very busy and our tasting (only 3 wines) was very rushed. The second stop had more individualized focused and we appreciated the tutorial on how to taste a wine. But again only three wines to taste. If you don't have a lot of time, this will get you a taste of CDP.

Sylvie was friendly and approachable - an excellent knowledgable host! We visited 2 wineries - the first had a tour through the operational cellars, and the second taught us about what to look for in your wine when it’s poured. Both very different yet excellent! It was great for non-experts like us - a good mid-range priced wine experience!

Great winery tour!

This tour was a great way to experience the wineries of Chateauneuf du Pape. We visited two wineries where we learned a lot about wine production and wine tasting. We especially liked learning about what makes this tiny region so special. Our guide Emmanual was very knowledgeable, he gave a great overview of the region while traveling, and he had helpful recommendations and insights on other sights to see in Provence. We really appreciated chatting with him and his sharing of local knowledge. We would definitely recommend this tour to others!

Nice countryside, but the wine museum was a walk on your own with an audioguide only. 6 wines to taste, fruendky staff. Was written it takes 4 hours, but we were back after 3 already! They could have filled that time with some photostops etc. Fruendly guard, but too expensive for what offered

Good but could also do it yourself

Had a good time on this tour and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. If you are staying in Avignon and want to get up to cote do rhone country it's a good idea. If you have already rented a car I'd be tempted to drive to wineries yourself as its very easy to walk in and do a tasting. That said, you get a lot more information this way and don't feel obligated to buy any wine. It's up to you.
