Vi hade en underbar tid. vår guide var generös med sin kunskap och tid. Vid alla våra stopp fick vi historisk information plus den bästa maten. Nicolas var mycket tillmötesgående och vänlig.

Gaetano var en enastående guide för vår street food-turné i gamla Bari. Han var engagerande, kunnig och omtänksam. Vår favoriträtt var focaccia Barese och den grillade bläckfisksmörgåsen. Planerar att ta en eftermiddagslur efter all den maten. Vi såg också till att prova den regionala ricottan som Gaetano rekommenderade när vi åt nästa kväll.

Enjoyed our food tour with Alessia. She shared her love of Bari as she took us to some favorite places in town. Delicious focaccia bread to start, calzone, and some other stops, one being a delicious gelato place. Would recommend this tour.

We took this tour on Saturday April 27, 2024 at 6:30pm. Here is my account of a wonderful life experience. We were able to find the meeting location using Google maps. Our tour guide, Nicolas, a native of Bari, has an unbelievable amount of knowledge of the city and it's food. He shared the struggle of Bari to revitalize over the last 20 years and told us all about the local economy. He has a warm and friendly personality and is very accommodating. As we weaved our way through the Old Town's piazzas and narrow streets, Nicolas shared the history and significance of the churches, castles, architecture, the local people and their food. You’ll find the places you want to revisit another time and the food you must have more of. We started with a fish cone at Don's , right next to the meeting site, it was excellent. Then to the world famous, on YouTube, Maria della Sgagliozze for fried polenta and fried sweet dough ball. Eat both they are delicious!!! Then a slice of tasty focaccia followed by a huge calzone. The octopus sandwich at 'lo Sfizio del borgo antico' was the best I've tasted. It was perfectly cooked with arugula, lemon and soft roll. Then we ended the evening with gelato and I recommend the crema antico. We were a smaller group and I enjoyed the friendly women from Scotland. The group shared experiences and we laughed over some well timed jokes. I ate, I laughed, I learned! What more could you ask for?

Great day exploring the food and city of Bari

Nicolas was a wonderful guide for the city of Bari. We learned about the history of the city and where to get the best food it had to offer. The star may have been the gelato though! Incredible!!! We had a wonderful day with Nicolas and can’t recommend his tour highly enough.

Grazie Nicolas! The tour was deliciously fun! I have had octopus before, but nothing like this one I tasted here in Bari. The food was great, but we also met some very friendly characters along the way; don't miss out on talking to the lady who makes orecchiette! Nicolas was so kind and attentive to all the people in our group! He is a fantastic tour guide.

I booked this tour after reading other amazing reviews and I am here to echo them all! Nicolas was AMAZING, the perfect mix of history and general conversation. So passionate about what he does! As many others stated, there was a LOT of food. Come hungry! Just when I thought it was over and that I couldn’t possibly eat more, there was another stop. Nicolas knows all of the restaurant owners so well, chats them all up and is so genuine. It was supposed to take 3 hours but we had such a good time it wound up extending to 4! I cannot recommend this highly enough. I honestly can’t imagine doing this for lunch- you would have to roll yourself back to your hotel for a 4 hour nap. Book the evening tour for an amazing night in Bari!

Our tour group consisted of a great group of people. The wait times at the places we visited were LONG! A suggestion would be for the guide to make advance reservations. We felt the servings were more than we could eat. If you are looking for a healthy food tour, this is not for you. We really enjoyed the octopus sandwich and gelato.

In our street food tour, we taste typical city dishes (focaccia, panzerotto, octopus sandwich) so customers should expect these tastings (as described in the product for more). it is true that Bari street food is not exactly "light," but it is delicious! Of course, when you are full, you can split the tastings so you can get to taste everything :)

This was a 5 stop food tour around the old town, including local focaccia, panzerotti, octopus sandwich, fried polenta, and gelato. Alessia was very friendly and explained all the foods, and also gave us some history about the local area. A great way to start a trip to Bari!

This tour was great took us to the local spots and favorite foods. Our guide gave us a culture component too which brought the experience to life. My only recommendation is to vary up the food it was a lot of back to back carbs but the food was delicious!!
