Turtles were an highlight, but would have liked to spend more time at the volcano. The new bus used for the tour was comfortable but has restricted views for sightseeing , unless you are in the front seat.

Seeing the volcano crater and steam vents was amazing. Gio our guide had many interesting stories and made our trip so much more fun. He made sure we got back to the port on time and he was very knowledgeable about the volcanos and Hawaii. Great time.

The tour guide was able to answer all my questions relating to the culture that I had. Edmund does a fantastic tour. One of the other guest mistakenly took a phone from our group as he boarded a cruise ship. Our guide was able to get us to where we could retrieve it within 30 minutes. Would recommend to others as a good way to experience a large part of Hilo with very little effort.

Volcano and waterfall

The tour was very interesting and our guide Lani was great, very knowledgeable in Hawaiian culture and traditions. She shared many Hawaiian legends and even song for us Hawaiian song. Lani made this tour really memorable.

Exceptional way to see multiple sites

The entire time we were on the tour was educational and entertaining. Hannibal, our tour guide, educated us without giving us a bunch of useless information. His ability to make us laugh at each other without being disrespectful was a refreshing change. His dad jokes never ending. An extra stop was also thrown in so that a forgotten backpack could be retrieved. All stops made were a nod to the sites, economy, and people of the Hawaiian Islands. The black sand beaches, Rainbow Falls, and the Volano National Park were wonderful. We had a wonderful time. It was definitely money well spent.

Great Day in Hilo!

Out tour guide Rusty was overly accommodating! She told us all about the sites and made sure we were well taken care of. For some unknown reason the Viator Excursion line was long at the pier and we had to get started an hour later than expected. Because of this Rusty threw in an extra stop at the end of our tour. She took us to the Macadamia Nut Factory outside of town, We ended with a nice stop at a wonderful candy shop. Great day despite the rain for the last 2hrs.

Ernie our guide was professional, informative and made the tour fun. We had been to some of the stops on a tour the day before,but this one was much better. Loved the black sand beach, lava tubes, volcano, yummy chocolate and macadamia factory.

Gio was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and fun. Got us back to the ship safely and on time. One note - Lava tubes are great, but steep entrance and uneven floor could be challenging for people with mobility issues. Make sure your phone has a flashlight.

Great experience in Volcano NP

This was an enlightening tour of the Volcano NP, lava tube and Rainbow falls. Smart stop at grocery store for picnic lunch up at the NP! It's incredible to witness the ongoing changes at the Kīlauea volcano. Donna was a super tour guide who provided interesting information for the entire tour. Also had a great sense of humor and was very attentive to the guests on her bus. Highly recommend.

Very well organized shore excursion. Recommended!

This was the first non-cruise excursion I used that had the same day port departure and I was concerned about getting back on time, but we came back well before all aboard time. Our guide/driver Donna was very pleasant and informative. She really keep everyone engaged and on schedule. Though I knew prior to the excursion that the Lili’uokalani Gardens was a drive by on the bus visit. However, looking at the timing of the entire excursion, I felt we had more than enough time to do at least a 20-30 minute visit for photos.

A Must Do On Hawaii

The entire tour was excellent. The stop at the black beach and then the waterfalls was great. The driver gave excellent dialog throughout the day (both informative and with jokes). There is a stop to purchase a lunch sandwich if you like. Can eat on the bus or wait to get to the Volcano National Park. Crater and Volcano House were interesting, but the stop at the steam vent was eye opening. I highly recommend this tour. Well worth the money.
