BEST TOUR EVER!

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Maui! Robbie was a great tour guid and gave outstanding directions on how to kayak/snorkel for those in our group who have never done it! He also gave a little bit of history about the 3 islands that were surrounding us. All of the pictures and videos he took turned out very well and were worth every penny. The location was beautiful and very easy to find. we saw so many turtles and fish! This will be something we remember forever and will ALWAYS recommend to friends/family traveling to Maui. Thank you Robbie for the experience!

We had an amazing time on this tour! We loved the kayak and the up-close experience with the whales, and were lucky enough to see sea turtles and even a stingray on our snorkel! The whole family loved the experience. I highly recommend!

We had a great time kayaking and snorkeling. Our family of 4 got lucky as we were the only group from a possible of 10 people. Billy was our guide and did a great job of explaining some of the sea life and whale migration patterns. We unfortunately did not see any whales as it was late in the season. We did however get to snorkel with a large turtle. Billy also took many pictures of the family while kayaking and snorkeling. We had a win time.

Would've been great but for the strong winds

The outing wasn't ideal, but that's the fault of the weather. After we paddled far out, the winds grew quite strong and we had to call it quits and get back in. We did see one whale, but had to skip the snorkeling. James was a concerned and encouraging leader. I would have tried again but it was our last day on the island. They refunded 50% of the cost.

This is such a great, low-key adventure to experience the ocean, kayaking, whales, fish and turtles. Plus, it gives the perfect perspective of South Maui from the water. We had a blast and Billy was exceptional!

Whale flip very close to us

Best way to see whales. James was awesome, very calm and friendly. We saw a whale do a body flip in the air just within 50-70 feet from us. We spent a good amount of time seeing momma whale teach baby whale with a bottleneck dolphin guarding the calf. Those gentle giants are beautiful and we were glad we saw them in the most eco friendly way possible. Because we decided to spend a long time watching the whales that were hovering close to us, snorkeling was cut short but I have no complaints. Whale sightings make up for any shortcomings. Definitely worth it.

We paddled to some whales and got to see their backs, tails, and hear them from our kayaks since they were right underneath us. Then we paddled to a beautiful and big Coral reef where we saw a lot of fish and one sea turtle. James, our guide, was great! Lots of comedy included.

Great trip

First, this review is for a trip left from mile 14 at Olowalu beach and not from Turtle Town It was a great trip/experience. I had a little trouble finding exactly where to meet, but some of that was due to my cell-service issues. After that, everything was great. Our guide (I think Billy) was very nice, knowledgable, and helpful. I had also communicated a few times with Adam about trip details, etc. and he was very helpful. All of the equipment was very good. We first kayaked out to see whales -- we saw several. A couple were close, but most were more in the distance, but that's obviously not controllable. We did get to see 2 breaches! We then partially paddled back and anchored at a snorkel site and had great snorkeling. We then paddled back. We were lucky wtih a few things -- calm weather, crystal clear water, presence of whales, and only 6 (out of maximum 10 possible) guests on our trip. But despite that "luck", the trip was well-run and organized. At least on our trip we went maybe about 5 miles total, so that could be a lot of paddling for some, and some physicial ability is needed to get back into a kayak from the water after snorkeling, but my wife and I (early 60's) did fine. Overall a strong recommend.

James was super AWESOME ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would totally recommend this tour w/James!! I booked Feb 18th,2024 pretty windy and not safe to go out that day, they immediately fit me it for the next day 😃 beautiful day, I had so much fun. Saw turtle swam by my new friend Mei and I's kyak and a couple whales 🤙🏾 so many fishies S/O to James keeping us all safe to shore and huge props to him too he towed 2 double kyaks back to shore 💪🏾 James that dude you want to be out with 😁 Mahalo James from Lia 🤙🏾

Our guide Billy was the absolute best combination of a wealth of knowledge and an enthusiastic participant. He made our safety a top priority and he had many informative tidbits about the reef, the whales, and all the details surrounding our adventure. He led us to a place where we were able to see multiple whales, including a mom and her baby that was about the size of our kayak. They played and the baby showed off by breaching multiple times. This experience is one of the best we’ve had and we would highly recommend it to anyone interested. Thanks to Viator, and to Zephyr Adventures and especially to our fantastic guide, Billy! Mahalo…

Our guide James was wonderful. He made us feel comfortable and really made sure we got the most of our experience. We saw a momma whale and her calf just in front of our kayaks, snorkeled with fish and sea turtles in the reef. Highly recommend!
