Tons of Wildlife!

What a fabulous experience! We saw so many otters with their babies, sea lions and pups, and birds. Our tour guides were so knowledgeable. The electric catamaran was quiet and roomy and perfect for the environment. We were offered binoculars and even blankets if it was too chilly. This is a must see if you are in the area.

All the wildlife we saw, the comfort of the electric catamaran, docent knowledge and interaction. Nice (unrelated) restaurant located at the dock.

Pleasurable March tour of Estuary!

A sunny March Saturday afternoon. Sea lions were lounging in the harbor on the docks. Otters were out in plentitude in the estuary. Birds of all kinds were flying around & resting everywhere. Mama otter with baby on her tummy. Playful otters chasing each other near our boat. Nature guide was knowledgeable, friendly, at ease with the environment & attentive to everyone's questions. Our family of 7 plus about 10 other people made it a very uncrowded, joyful experience. We brought snacks & drinks to enjoy the atmosphere. We could freely stand up, walk around & get fabulous views & pictures of the otters, seals, birds & all life in the estuary. (I should have included some of our pictures, but am short on time). Driver was friendly, knowledgeable, skillful in driving. A very pleasant, interesting, educating, peaceful tour of the Estuary!

Memorable Wildlife Experience

The trip was with family who were visiting from MN. They took at least 100 pictures of otters and birds-which was the exact experience I’d hoped for them. Having the guide be able to share what was what was extremely helpful. And we all appreciated that the boat was electric so the trip wasn’t tainted by noise or fumes. As a Bay local, I would do the trip again.

The boat captain and tour guide were both professional and very knowledgeable. It was chilly when we got back to the dock so we went into the restaurant next door and warmed up with fish & chips and beer:). Great experience all around!

There were so many highlights on our trip. It was joyful from the moment we approached the boat. Some of our higlights included: watching the sea otters eat fat inn keeper worms!, the tons of pelicans, Cindy sharing her knowledge about all the sea life, and answering all our questions, and the quiet electric motor of our boat.

Birthday Surprise for Mom

We drove from Placerville, California. Our GPS took us to a Research Center way up the backside of the Slough, and we didn't think we would make our set time to launch. Rachel phoned us to check-in and see if we were on our way. We were completely lost and on the wrong side of the slough. She gave us a Market to aim for on Clam Way and that got us there just as the group was boarding the Catamaran. The Wildlife tour was very informative thanks to Rachel and our whole family will always enjoy our memories of that day.

Everything about the trip was wonderful. Met Merle, the cushion guard dog. Joey (driver) and Rachel (naturalist) were friendly and knowledgeable. LOTS of varied wildlife. Weather was great.
