A Great Tour of Naxos

We enjoyed our tour of Naxos. We visited some lovely villages and the countryside was beautiful. We traveled the coastline which was stunning. Our guide was very good and shared highlights about the island. The bus was comfortable and the driver did a great job of navigating the mountain roads. Well worth the money!!!

Perfect summary of Naxos

Perfect way to spend a day without having to drive yourself. Alex was excellent as a tour guide and very patient with all our questions. She gave lots of tidbits along the way between towns. Vasilis is a saint for driving us everywhere and a bus on some of those roads was amazing. Pottery and olive press atop were great as well as the Kitron distillery. Nice to go to local and support local businesses. Not just those that might pad the tour company’s pocket. Even the little town where we had lunch was great. Personally I rarely have enough time in each place but it is an excellent way to get a taste and maybe decide what you want to go back to. Thanks!

So many amazing things but my favourite were the Beach Apollonas and Mountain village. It was a great tour. Could have used a bit more time in each location but would highly recommend it.

This was an excellent tour of the island! Alex our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire day! Our bus driver was amazing! Some of the areas were very challenging to navigate and he was an expert! Highly recommend this adventure!

This was a great way to get to see a lot of Naxos assets with someone else in charge of navigating the narrow roads. Alexandra was a lovely guide, knowledgeable and very personable (and patient with my questions!). My husband hadn't been really enthusiastic about it (this isn't really his idea of a good time) but he too enjoyed it and felt like he got a lot out of it. I don't think we would have loved Naxos as much as we did without the context and experience. I highly recommend it!

Great way to See Naxos Island and Unbelievably Affordable

This was a great way to see Naxos in the limited time we had available. Alexandra was a fabulous tour guide -- very knowledgeable. Our 7 year old son enjoyed it too and we were surprised given that it was a full day tour. We especially enjoyed the stop to see the Temple of Demeter, the Naxos pottery (bring cash because they don't take credit cards), as well as the swimming stop (but realize you won't have time to both swim and eat so take your pick). We honestly couldn't believe how inexpensive the tour was for how much was packed in. Would absolutely recommend this for a family with kids (but...be sure to give kids who get car sick some meds bc the roads are winding!)

Our guide was lovely - gentle and full of valuable information. A wonderful way to spend a day showing us a very different side to Naxos. Really highlighted the complexity and diversity of this gorgeous island.

Pros: the coach driver deserves a medal for negotiating that enormous coach around those windy mountain roads. Alex the tour guide was very informative and a delight to listen to. She told us all about various Greek gods and their mythology. I found it fascinating.. And the views were amazing.... lots of photo opportunities. I would not recommend it for unfit, overweight or physically challenged people. There is a lot of walking and many stairs to climb. In the heat it was tiring and a few people on my tour took a bit of strain. Definitely take some anti sick tablets if you suffer from travel sickness. By the way..... There are changing rooms at the beach where you can swim, so no need to suffer in a hot costume all day. That swim at the end of the tour was fabulous. Cons: no problems on the tour side... that was all great. However my problems were with some of my fellow tourists seemed to think that no one else wanted to hear what the tour guide was saying, so they would hold their own conversations.... not so privately.... and talk over her voice. It was most annoying, very rude and inconsiderate. These same selfish people kept us waiting for over 15 minutes at one of the stops. Finally the driver found them and chased them along. They didn't even bother with an apology for keeping the rest of the bus of 32 people waiting. Finally I noticed that none of the younger folk left any sort of tip for the hardworking driver and tour guide. They deserved to be tipped. Apart from anything else it is etiquette.

We booked this bus tour because we wanted to take a quick look at the island and we did! This tour takes you to the most important and beautiful places around Naxos and the guide explains to you in a very charming way really interesting things. It's really worth it, you'll feel like you've done a lot of things in just one day.

Nice tour. Covered a lot of ground. Felt like I really knew Naxos by the end. Tour guide was adorable and when she had an anecdote, it was charming. However, anecdotes and information was sparse. Nothing about history, nothing about the people of Naxos or the economy. I wanted a little more meat.
