Vilken fantastisk utflykt! Vår guide Peer var fantastisk. Han bor i Daintree-regionen och har tillbringat mycket tid med de vackra ursprungsbefolkningen i denna region. Han var en mängd information och en fantastisk berättare! Dagens aktiviteter var perfekt fördelade och vi kände oss aldrig förhastade vilket gjorde att vi kunde fördjupa oss i denna speciella del av världen.

Daintree Experience på en enda dag

Vi lämnade Port Douglas med Brice som vår researrangör/chaufför och efter en bilresa mot Daintree korsade vi Daintree River med färja. Vi körde till den vackra Mossman Gorge med sin hängbro och floden full av mall sötvattensköldpadda och Jungle Abborre. Regnet på morgonen var inga problem, vi fick paraplyer. Efter att ha promenerat på stranden i Cape Tribulation åt vi vår lunch i den vackra miljön på Julaymba Restaurant med glass som öken på Floraville Ice Cream Factory. Jag köpte några smaskiga Daintree tepåsar att ta med hem där också. Sedan gjorde vi vår båttur på Daintree River för att se krokodiler: vi såg en mumiekruka med 5 av hennes avkommor på olika ställen bland mangroveskogarna. Vi avslutade dagen med en vild Landrover-tur genom 3 floder för att se Cassowary Falls innan vi begav oss tillbaka till Port Douglas.

Excellent Day Tour of the Daintree

This one day tour of the Daintree was everything we had hoped it would be. We saw a great deal on our tour without feeling rushed. Our guide, Mel, gave us a highly informative and often entertaining explanation of the unique plants and animals of this place and of its human history.

Good but could not do the full originally planned trip due to cyclone

We enjoyed the rainforest and the aboriginal gentelman's talk. Our guide, Kim, was a bit overpowering. The cyclone prevented us from seeing a significant part of the planned trip. In its place was went to an interesting fish farm and a really interesting exotic fruit farm.

Adam was an incredible tour guide whose boundless energy and enthusiasm punctuated the multitude of remarkable sights we experienced throughout the day. The Daintree is absurdly lush, yet the heat and humidity weren't too bad during our visit. This tour was a highlight of our family's trip to Australia.

Kim was a great tour guide. We spent 10 hours together and he never ran out of interesting and relevant information. He is very knowledgeable, engaging and timely. We shared the tour with 6 others from all over the world. Kim was very deliberate in connecting with each person throughout the day and was able generally knowledgeable about where we all came from. It was a lovely, fully packed day.

We had a great time with Mick, and learnt a lot about the unique Daintree environment. A real highlight of our Port Douglas stay. A day in the Daintree is never enough, so it was a tight schedule packed with interesting details and fun. It left us wanting more, with a deeper respect for the environment, the indigenous peoples and the early European settlers.

Full Day Daintree Tree Tour

Mel was such a great guide, she is very knowledgeable and interacted well with our kids. She is funny and she kept a tight ship as far as the schedule goes because the tour packs in A LOT! I would highly recommend this full day tour if you want to know the history of the Daintree rain forest and see as much as you can in one day! The lunch was amazing, I had the Barramundi which was perfectly cooked. I recommend wearing “river” shoes or water shoes for the tour. These type of shoes make walking down to and swimming in the Cooper creek very easy, you just have to deal with wet shoes for a bit!

Mick, our guide and driver, was fantastic and we learned a lot all along the way! We met a Cassowary from very close and saw many crocs on the river cruise. Lunch was very good!!

Great tour but too rushed

Great day with a lot of impressions. However too many visits compressed leaving too little time for the key highlights - gorge, rainforest and river. I’d recommend dropping ice cream , look outs and other 5-10 minutes stop and focus only on two main attractions giving time for longer hikes and time enjoy the nature, look for animals and not constantly rushing to the bus. Mick was great guide and assured a good vibe during the day and provided knowledgeable and insightful comments through the tour. Small nuance - there giant Bern any afternoon tea announced in the tour description on viator.

Our guide Adam had great knowledge of the area including respect and admiration of the local indigenous people. Our day was jam packed and he made sure that we got as much out of our tour as possible, pointing out various flora and fauna that we would have walked past without even noticing. We saw a cassawary and baby chick, a wild pig, crocodiles, big spiders and so much more. Throw in some good food and this was a value for money day out.

Wow! This tour was amazing and is one of the most talked about activities we did during our 2.5 weeks in Australia. Adam, our tour guide, taught us so much about the rainforest and was hilarious! He is easily one of the best tour guides I have ever met. The aboriginal ceremony was so special, and seeing crocodiles in the river was awe-inspiring. Loved this tour so much and highly recommend it.
