A little underwhelming

This tour was OK. The guide was good and knowledgeable to the extend that he knew about where he took us. I did not expect to spend 30% of the time side of places of business (jade museum/ hotel Santo Domingo). I thought we would cover much more ground and see many more things. To that, read tour descriptions carefully and ask for a detailed list of where you will go and how you will spend your time.

The tour was conducted by Elizabeth Bell, a long time resident of Antigua. She has been heavily involved with UNESCO and the restoration of Antigua. Her knowledge of the history of the area, plus that of Guatemala in general, is simply outstanding. One couldn't ask for a better tour guide.
