Nice visit to Atitlan

Great and knowledgeable driver (Osman). Lake is very pretty. First of 3 towns interesting with how chocolate, textiles and bee products made, other 2 towns didn’t offer much.

David was an excellent guide. All of the stops were wonderful and good opportunities to see local businesses. Timing for everything was perfect. Prompt pick-up, good communication with the driver and guide, and we seemed to always beat the crowds at tourist spots and restaurants. Plenty of options to eat and drink, shop, see cultural sites, or simply sightsee, whatever you desire. Be prepared for steep hills and some choppy water in the afternoons. If you’re prone to motion sickness for the drive, bring some Dramamine. But that’s just the Guatemalan highland roads, nothing against our great driver.

It was a great day. Lake Atitlan is beautiful. Our driver picked us up on time, and we had breakfast at a delicious restaurant. Our tour guide Nicholas was wonderful. He provided us with lots of information and we learned so many things from him. He also made us feel safe. It was a great day, thank you!

Great experience

We had a great time on this tour. The driver was very punctual, professional and safe driver. We stopped halfways to the lake at a very delicious breakfast place and then at the lake we were met with our tour guide and boat. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. She also took us to a chocolate, honey and textile presentations which were all informative and nice to see. She was a really fast walker because we had a lot to see in a short amount of time which was fine for us but it might be a problem for other people.

We had the best time on this private excursion. Our driver Mario was on time and very patient with us. Even when we were running a little behind when we lost track of time shopping. Roberto was our tour guide and was very informative. He was patient while my sister and I took our time enjoying the tour. We would definitely do this tour again. The boat ride was very nice and we felt safe.

Left Antigua very early in the morning for the trip to Lake Atitlan. The day is filled with travel, water travel and lots of learning. Chocolate, weaving and lots of history. We visited a couple of co-ops where purchases supported local families. Highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful day with David our guide and pedro our captain. The lake is absolutely stunning and you get to see how the Mayan people still live, while visiting three different villages. Pack sunscreen, wear comfortable shoes ( a lot of walking and up hill), and smaller bills to tip the artisans. David was a wonderful guide and is from one of the villages you will visit. Definitely make sure you stop for beers in San Pedro over looking the Lake. Would recommend David and this company to my friends. Also Mario was our driver and he was lovely as well. 10/10

Absolutely perfect experience, and the best day of one of our best trips ever! The weather definitely helped, but our driver and our tour guide were better than we could have imagined. The driver, Osman, was punctual, courteous, and a safe driver. Our guide, Joel (I apologize if I misspell his name) was super-knowledgeable and entertaining. A native of Santiago Atitlan of Mayan descent, he told us stories that were both personal and historical, and was perfectly tactful between giving us our privacy and accompanying us and informing us about our surroundings. We had delicious breakfast and lunch, nobody took us to any of the so-called "tourist traps", it was a very genuine relaxed wonderful experience! Maltiox!

Pictures don’t do the lake justice it is a must visit. I would skip visiting San Pedro and Santiago but San Juan was incredible. However what truly made the trip was Eduardo, he was knowledgeable and kind. Marlon too.

This day trip was very enjoyable as the trip was well planned and coordinated. The breakfast at the restaurant along the way was delicious with multiple options. The lake is gorgeous and the views from the islands on the lake are breathtaking! The English speaking guide was quite knowledgeable and made sure that all the sights were covered. As it was a beautiful day on the lake, the boat ride to the various islands was very enjoyable. Overall we enjoyed this day trip and had no complaints. If time had permitted we would have considered staying overnight on one of the islands on the lake.

San Juan & Santiago are lovely, must-see towns. Definitely check out the fabric making and aviary with Mayan bees in San Juan, and the cathedral in Santiago is impressive.

Definitely a must do on your visit to Guatemala. Lake Atitlan is just beautiful. Our driver, Marlon, was great getting us to the lake. Nicholas, our guide, was extremely friendly and spoke English quite well so there was no confusion with communicating with him as our Spanish is not that good. He explained all about the Mayan villages, from their history to current. Highly recommend.
