Mikos was a really good guide - engaging, knowledgeable, pleasant to be with. Suggest you take the morning tour, as it gets crowded later with queues to get in.

My partner and I visited on a weekday at 09:30. We were the only two, making the experience personal and engaging. We were greeted by Nick, who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. Nick's tour was the perfect length, and by 11:00 (perhaps slightly before) we were done, which gave us time to walk around the Acropolis by ourselves. Nick was approachable and knew how to make the tour fun and educational. I will recommend it to all of my friends. Next time Nick, please stick around as we'd have loved to give you a tip! Make sure you see this first, as the tour will give you historical context for so many things and make other stops (such as the Acropolis museum) even more interesting.

Only one other couple joined with this tour but our guide gave us the full service attention and consideration. Our guide was Greek and his name (shortened) was Nick or Nik. He was knowledgable and spoke in an educational way to be make all stops interesting. He was always concerned for our comfort and safety. He started the tour on time and completed it in 90 minutes as was scheduled by us. A great and memorable time.

the Acropolis is really a must-see, plus Nikos was an amazing & gentle guide. I was the only one–a family who was supposed to join cancelled last-minute but the tour still went ahead which I appreciated alot. Very knowledgeable & very encouraging with the little greek mythology and things I had read before. Was so interesting it made me do a detour in my plans to the national archaeological museum to see more. Get your tickets beforehand from hhticket.gr

The small-group tour is the way to go! We were a family group of four older adults. We had a wonderful guide, who found us (waiting in the wrong spot - oops) and whisked us through the line of waiting-for-their-time-slot patrons and onto our tour route. Nikos is very cheery and considerate to his tour participants with well-timed washroom breaks, nice pace of walk-climb and stops to discuss interesting points along the way. He made sure we understood that this was our tour -- we had lots of opportunities to ask questions and discuss the ideas and places we were experiencing. Nikos was very knowledgeable and had reference photos which really brought the Acropolis, the Parthenon and all the buildings alive! It was interesting to see some of the repair work in progress and we expect that the finished product (est. 5 yrs) will be amazing. If we have the chance to return after the repairs are completed, we will ask Nikos for another tour!

Nikos is the kindest man

We were to tour the Acropolis as a group of 4: my husband & I and my parents. Although the tour was titled ‘small group’ it was just us. However, the Acropolis was closed due to thunderstorms during our ticket window. Nikos was incredibly flexible & helpful waiting for the weather to clear and getting us in when it reopened. Unfortunately, my mother tripped and injured herself. Nikos was essential in that urgent situation: getting her first aid, then helping us get her to the hospital when mom decided to x-ray the injury, helping us navigate the emergency room, and not leaving us until we were with the doctor. Above & Beyond. Oh yes, he was also an excellent guide, gave us an overview of Greek history while we were waiting out the rain, and could answer our peculiar questions (engineers & scientists among us) about the Acropolis.

Our guide was excellent! Very knowledgeable and shared so much with us on our tour. Line ups at the Parthenon were incredibly long but he filled the time with many interesting facts not only about where we were but also about what we could see within Athens from our viewpoint at the Acropolis leading to the Parthenon. Our group was on the smaller size which made it nice. Our guide went above and beyond offering to taking photos when there was a good opportunity. He even helped start us on our way back to our hotel. We highly recommend this tour.
