  • To enter the monasteries, appropriate clothing is required. Ladies should not wear short skirts and must have long sleeves. Men are not allowed to wear shorts.

  • Please note that from 1/1/2018, a new hotel accommodation tax has been applied and should be paid directly in hotels as following: 5* hotels - 4 Euro per room/per night, 4* hotels - 3 Euro per room/per night, 3* hotels - 1.5 Euro per room/per night.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Great tour for Ancient Greek history

Our guide Marianna was excellent, she is very knowledgeable about all of the sites and Greek history overall. She was very patient and respectful of all guests. The sites we visited were exceptional and much better than I anticipated.

Absolutely wonderful. Marianna and Lucas made this trip so enjoyable. Marianna was a wealth of information and history. She made our tour come alive. She took such wonderful care of us. We saw so many beautiful places that we could never have done on our own. The accommodations were so nice as well. Lucas - our driver- was the best! Thank you for all that you did to make sure we got to our destinations safely and taking care of our luggage. What a way to end our time in Greece. Highly recommend this trip to see so much more than Athens!.

Excellent trip I had in my maiden trip in Greece coz of a fantastic tour guide Youli who is so knowledgeable and dedicated in bring the best for this trip. We definitely benefited a lot more understanding the culture and history of Greece. The T class hotels are basic but met our needs.

A lovely and memorable trip

Meeting people from around the world. Seeing and experiencing the historic sites with an expert. Having the time to be a part of a village and good food. Our guide Dorcia was amazing and friendly as well as very knowledgeable. She answered the most esoteric questions about laconia. She would explain places we drove through and made the bus ride easier with commentary.

It was worth it!

Our guide Evan(sp?) was amazing! We really felt like he took care of all our needs and was happy to do so. He even went over and above in helping us resolve our predicament. And I love the Greek mythologies he included, it made the statues and historical sites much more interesting. He really knew his stuff.We learned a lot on this trip! However, a few of the hotel choices could use an improvement.

4-day excursion to Greek history and mythology

Awesome 4-day excursion through mainland Greece straight into the local history and mythology with our super knowledgeable and passionate guide Anna and expert driver Zacharias. We think the 4-day tour is the best option because that gives a broader view of the historical and mythological places, events and people - expertly woven together by Anna. Our favourite site was Olympia where we had an opportunity to run at the ancient Stadium and “fight” at the Palaestra. Everything great. Five stars! Big thanks!

Couldn’t recommend more. We got a more complete picture and feel for Greece and experienced so much history. Met wonderful people too! Our guide Anastasia was such a great host who was so knowledgeable and did small touches to make it special for us and Nicolas our driver was a level above.

Factor this trip into your itinerary

There was a lot of travelling with this tour but it was still much better than travelling to each site separately from Athens, and there were plenty of short comfort stops as well as a lunch break each day. Breakfast and dinner were included and we found the quality of the food to range from acceptable to very good. The accommodation, each night was excellent. We opted for the four-star version but, with hindsight, we weren't really at the hotels long enough to make use of the excellent facilities - arriving at each at between 6:00 and 7:30 each evening. However, this was in April so there would likely be more opportunity during the summer months when the sun sets much later. Each of the sites are well worth visiting in their own right. The theatre at Epidaurus is exceptionally well preserved and the accoustics incredible, and the views at Delphi and Meteora are spectacular. Our guide, Christina, was very knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about how to archaic and classical artefacts, and how to tell the difference, as well the reasons some sites are better preserved than others and so many other things about the history of each site and of Greece as a whole. Our chosen time of year meant that we had the good fortune to be part of a very small group, who gelled well to enhance the experience. I would recommend this trip without hesitation.

It is a must-go trip in Greece. It brings you back to Ancient Greece. Mycenae and Delphi are my favorite! Mariana our tour guy is the best! Very knowledgeable and fun to be with. Our group became good friends after the trip. Our driver, is so skillful! The hotel we stayed were all very nice too! Highly recommend!
