The trip overall was great. The site lived up to it reputation. The driver was wonderful. He was skilled and we always felt save even in the chaos that is Athen's traffic. One of group had mobility issues and we was always willing to help any way possible. Both the trip and the driver were a very positive experience.

Unreal Temple Site on Mt. Parnassus!

Nico (Nick) did an excellent job as our tour guide and driver. And the Delphi archaeological park is much more expansive than I thought it would be . . . first, there is the Temple of Athena a bit down the road and lower on the mountain than the main archaeological park. We stopped there for about a half-hour before moving on to the primary site, where you find the Temple of Apollo at Delphi proper . . . but, then, there is so much more to see than that one temple, such as the Treasury building, the theater, and so many walls and dwelling footprints. It was overwhelming in the best sense possible. I highly recommend this tour into the mountains not too far from Athens! Thanks, Nico, for a great time!

In Athens? Don't miss Delphi!

Amazing private tour( 2 of us) with Apostolis(hope that is the right spelling of his name). Delphi and ruins as well as the Delphi museum is a must if you are going to Athens. The history and ruins are every bit as fascinating as seeing the Acropolis. Just be prepared, this tour is a lot of walking to see all of it. It is not on flat ground, but well worth it to see some incredible history. We were picked up on time and it is 2.5 hours each way. Lunch was lovely with a view that was amazing at a local restaurant. Food was good. Just wish the wait staff had been more friendly and attentive.

Chris was an excellent guide, great conversation, safe trip and even asked of we needed to get coffee before we left! It is definitely worth doing the private trip to Delphi. If possible, ask for Chris as your guide!

Great Way to do a Day Trip to Delphi

We did the private car from Athens to Delphi (both the Temple of Athena, the main site, and the museum), the town of Arachova, and a place for lunch (not included in the price). Our driver was great and spoke English fluently (he answered questions we had about all of the things but to clarify for people he is not an actual tour guide, so he was not allowed to go around to any of the sites with us. There were plenty of signs in English at the places) . The car was pretty new and had wi-fi.

Worthwhile Private Tour

A bit of confusion with the pick up time but LS Tours made every effort to correct the problem. Once we were picked up we enjoyed the day outside of Athens. Our driver was very knowledgeable with respect to the history of the Delphi ruins. The museum and ruins are an amazing site to see and experience in person. The views from the top of the mountain are spectacular to say the least. Our driver suggested that we walk directly to the top and take photos on the way down because of the views. That was very good advice for us. It is a quite a climb for those that are not somewhat fit. The beauty of a private tour is that you are not rushed by your driver, so you can take your time. The stadium at the top is an incredible site to imagine the events that took place there. After our tour of Delphi, our driver took us to a restaurant (Taverna Vakhos) that had a breathtaking view and excellent local traditional Greek food for a reasonable price.

Alex was right on time and very pleasant to be with. It was a long ride to Delphi but Arachova was a nice addition. We enjoyed the museum in Delphi and lunch in Arachova overlooking the countryside with all the olive trees!

Wonderful day trip to Delphi

Alex, our driver, picked us up at our Airbnb apartment (near the Acropolis) and he was prompt. He gave everyone water bottles and we set out for Delphi. It was about a 2 hour drive, during which he gave us facts about the areas we were passing and then told us the history of the Oracle of Delphi. Our first stop was at the Tholos of Athena, where he dropped us off to explore. It was raining and he offered us a large umbrella to use. (Note - it is a very steep decline which leads to a steep uphill climb back up!) Our next stop was at the Delphi archeological site and museum. Alex asked us which we preferred first because of the rain, and we agreed with him that we should do the museum first with the hopes that the rain would let up later for the outside part. He was right! We toured the museum while it was raining outside. After the museum, we proceeded outside to the archeological site. (Note - it is also a steep uphill climb). Alex told us he’d meet us at the exit 2 hours after drop off, but we could take as long as we wanted/needed. We exited the archeological site around 2 hours after drop off and he was right there waiting for us! After that, Alex drove us to a restaurant in Delphi where he had made a lunch reservation for us. He requested a table next to a window that had the most spectacular view! And the food was delicious, as well! After lunch, we started to head back to Athens. We stopped for a brief time in Arachova to walk around a bit and window shop. At the end, my daughter needed a restroom and when we asked Alex about it, he took her to a cafe and bought himself a coffee so she could use the bathroom. After Arachova, we made a quick stop at a scenic lookout which was spectacular. Alex took some pictures of our whole family for us. We then hopped back in the van and headed back to Athens - about 2 hours for the return. We were extremely happy with Alex and would highly recommend this tour!

Bill was the nicest tour guide. He spent a lot of time explaining historical information with us. Due to transportation strike that was planned for 2 days later we had to re arrange our schedule and Bill also managed to get us to the airport as well!! Tour was great but Bill was wonderful!

A splendid day in Delphi with Michael

Spent an amazing day with Michael exploring the foreground city of Delphi! Michael was super engaging, knowledgeable and made great recommendations on how to start the trip to make the best use of the sun, the crowds and the scenery. Delphi, Narrow roads, great views and fantastic guide

when we were picked up in front of our Airbnb in Athens, we were so excited to see Michael that we had had the day before to Olympia. It was like having a close friend taking us around to see the sights for the day. He pointed out all the olive orchards and how different they were from the day before on the West side vs East side of Greece. The views as we went through various small towns as we approached Delphi. The climb up the side of the hill to see all the ruins was spectacular around every twist and turn. We thought looking down at the amphitheater was spectacular but then kept climbing up to the stadium at the top-- wow. The museum was great to go through and see such fantastic sculptures with such detail knowing this was all done by hand. Michael located a nice restaurant with a view over the cliffs of a local town and looking down the beautiful valley. We hated to leave. His driving skills are amazing to have to back down a road as a semi was coming the other way-- no room for both. It was sad to say goodbye to Michael when we got back to Athens. We would highly recommend him.

Great views and wonderful trip! Alex did a wonderful job with logistics and helping us plan our day. Highly recommended as a day trip from Athens. The car was very comfortable and the in-car WiFi was nice to have while traveling. Alex reserved us a table at a local restaurant with an amazing view of the Bay of Corinth. Great day!
