This is a private tour. Only your group will participate. The pick-up time is adjustable upon your request. Your personal driver will pick you up and return you to the same place or to the point you prefer. In case of a hotel, he will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby. In case of an apartment, he will be waiting for you at the entrance of the building. For airport pick up, he will be waiting for you at the arrival hall holding a sign with your name on it to spot him upon arrival. We will track your flight and our driver will be there on time. For port pick up, he will be waiting for you at the gate, just as you disembark, holding a sign with your name on it to spot him upon arrival.

Terrific Trip to Meteora

Fotis was an excellent driver and knowledgeable guide. He was prompt and went the extra mile for us returning an item left behind. Meteora is spectacular and worth the long drive there and back to Athens. Great tour!

A great full day tour

Although it is a long drive from Athens to Meteora, Peter, our driver told us many things about places we passed and the history of how the monasteries came about. He was very flexible with the itinerary allowing us to select monasteries/nunneries to visit and telling us what to expect. Peter was knowledgable about the best view points for the monasteries and also where to look to see ruins of some long abandoned ones. The included lunch was great with many more traditional dishes available. The drive back to Athens was a very relaxing one with a stop at the now unrecognisable site of the Thermopyles battle (The shore line that played such a big part in the battle is now about 5 kms away from where it was back then.) The car was very comfortable.

If you visit Greece this is a must. Absolutely fabulous and this particular guide was perfect. We laughed all day his itinerary was perfect for me as a doddery oldie and found us a great lunch restaurant. His knowledge was first class and a wonderful companion to understand this magical place.

Everything about the trip was amazing. As farmers we enjoyed the drive to Meteora thru lots of agriculture. Meteora itself was an amazing destination. We were taken to a perfect lunch spot, they were quick to serve us and food was excellent. Our guide was chatty, informative and very accommodating to our every need.

We absolutely loved it. Our guide Spyros was very kind, friendly and informative. It is a long drive but did not feel that way thanks to the great driving and perfectly timed stops. The van was very comfortable and had Wi-Fi. We could pick the monasteries we wanted to visit. Really appreciate the recommendations our guide made based on our interest. We had plenty of time to visit three monasteries and enjoy a delicious dinner at a Greek Tavern in Kalambaka. The monasteries are amazing with breathtaking views. The landscape is stunnning and unbelievable, truly a visit in the clouds. It was worth the spurgle for a private tour, no long crowded train/bus rides. I would highly recommend this, to everyone!

Marvelous Day at Meteora

Anthony was very knowledgeable of the area and also took us to the best photo spots to get beautiful pictures. He was an excellent driver and we felt very safe during our 8+ hour drive with him (over 4 hrs each way). He arrived a few minutes early to our hotel, had waters for us at our stops, and was very friendly. Would highly recommend!

Words Cannot Describe Meteora--It Has to be Seen!

Visiting Meteora was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Truly breathtaking and wondrous. We only had one day available on our vacation and although it was a long drive from Athens to Meteora and back, it was totally worth it. We are so happy that My Athens Transfers made the trip possible. Our driver, Vassilis, was friendly and knowledgeable. We applaud his stamina for driving us all the way there and back with a smile. We had plenty of time to visit three monasteries and enjoy a delicious dinner in Kalambaka. Make sure to cover your shoulders, wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared for a lot of steps!

Majestic views inside and out

Amazing views of incredibly unusual landscape with the monasteries perched on top . Pictures don’t due justice to the depth of beauty and majesty to the area . Be prepared for considerable steps and heights . Worth the effort to see the inside where there is woodworking and painting and intricate decor for the ages .

VASILIS was amazing! He was kind, professional, very helpful. Willing to make everything work as we wished. Highly recommend VASILIS and this tour. Spend the money and have a great day! No buses, trains or rushing— just a beautiful drive to see spectacular sights and the glory of the monasteries! It is highly spiritual and breath taking. UNESCO world site. Breath Taking Tour...

This was our favorite tour out of everything we did in Greece..and we went to several of the popular islands of Greece too. Nothing compares to these views in the world..they will take your breath away. And what better way to do it than having your own private tour. Yes..It is more expensive than any other way to get here from Athens but it's worth it! If they recommend leaving early I'd take them up on it bc we got to several of the photo opt spots before anybody else even got there and we got all the perfect pics with the clouds, mist, sunshine etc etc over looking the Monasteries and mountains. Such a great guide he took to other areas where the normal tour busses can't get too. And opt in for the lunch option too it was another highlight of such a perfect day eating lunch in a nearby village. I recommend this to anyone wanting to spend more on a private tour and not wanting to deal with a tour bus and crowds..or if you just want to spoil yourself bc this is the best way to experience Meteora and the Monk Monasteries!
