Stranded in Piraeus by no show Viator guide

Although our tour was confirmed by both Viator and local guide up to one day before our excusing anthems and were charged, guide never showed up. He didn’t answer my calls nor texts. I called Viator, and they couldn’t contact him either. With only one day in port off our cruise ship, we had no alternative. It to hire a taxi to drive us to sounion. I expect a refund from Viator it it doesn’t compensate us for a missed opportunity.

The BEST GUIDE ever

My sister and I celebrated birthday milestones with a trip to Athens and a cruise to see the Greek Islands. While in Athens, we secured a trip to Cape Sounio and Temple of Poseidon. Our guide, John, was very thoughtful, extremely knowledgeable, and well spoken (helping us pronounce many Greek words). He took additional steps to show us so much more of his country than we had any reason to expect (local coffee shops, tasting local baked goods, and additional stops not originally planned). If you want a extraordinary trip, spend the day with John.

Amazing Adventure

We had an amazing journey with Fotis as our guide. He took us along the Athens Riviera to the Temple of Poseidon and the views were incredible. We had coffee and a snack at the beginning of our trip and later stopped at a local seaside cafe for a delicious lunch. He shared a lot of information along the way, not just about the history of the places we visited but also about Hellenic culture, tradition and lifestyle. It was a real view into life in Greece.

Antonis, the tour guide, is very knowledgeable and welcomong and loves his work. This tour is must to get a greater appreciation of what Greece has to offer, particuiarly if you are only on a short trip. The tour provides great perspective on Greece's natural beauty and coastline. He showed some great spots on the way to Cape Sounio, including where local Athenians like to spend their free time. He also provided great advise for a spot where to have a seafood lunch which he himself frequents with his family and friends. The only thing to keep in mind is that he has small vehicle.

This tour was fabulous, I recommend it to anyone who wants to see the Temple of Poseidon and the Greece bank on the shores of the Aegean sea. Very good experience without haste and Foti our guide was very kind and friendly, he gave us a lot of information and we shared good moments during the trip, and the Greek breakfast he provided us was delicious. Great but expectations not met

It was a very pleasant drive to the beach and Poseidon's temple. Really awesome to see. We were a bit let down by the description of the day trip and the expectations that it created which were not met. We expected to have some food and also walk around a little city. Instead, we went from 2 pm to 8 pm without eating which we were planning on that so we were very hungry by the end. It seemed like we drove pretty slow to take up time on the way there. Outside of that, it was a great experience and the host was awesome.

We had an amazing time with this experience. Antonis was hospitable, professional, funny, kind, and overall a good human being. We had so much fun and gained so much knowledge about Greece. The beach stop was wonderful and the food was divine. The water is cold but the beach is beautiful. Antonis was so helpful with helping my mom who has limited mobility in and out the car, and up the stairs. He opened the doors for us wherever we went and took us to some of his favorite spots. He definitely treated us like family. This is an experience you don't want to miss.

BEYOND WORTH THE PRICE

TAKE THIS TOUR! It’s beyond worth the price. Fotis picked us up from our hotel in his car — we thought this was a small group tour, but it was just 2 of us + Fotis, which made for an awesome experience. He drove us through local beach towns, we stopped at a cafe for traditional iced cappuccinos & pastries, and took a scenic drive to Poseidon’s temple. In the car, Fotis answered all our historical and cultural questions about Greece — he is knowledgable, charismatic, and kind. He genuinely cares that his guests have a great experience and shows you areas tourists would typically miss. At Poseidon’s temple, he gave us time to explore on our own, which is way more relaxing than usual tours because you explore on your own pace. We Ended the evening with beachfront dinner, before Fotis drove us back to our hotel. We literally wish Fotis would have guided our entire Greece trip. Thank you for the amazing day!

Our tour guide was Fotis and he was AMAZING! We stopped for coffee on the Athenian Riviera, talked about Greek culture and myths, the Temple of Poseidon was breathtaking, we stopped to take a dip in the Aegean Sea, he took us to pick up a dessert then we had dinner at a local spot. Would recommend to anyone. Great way to get an excellent tour and beat the heat.

Une superbe expérience avec Antonis notre guide qui nous a fait découvrir des paysages et des sites seulement connus des locaux. Magnifique escapade jusqu’au temple de poseidon avec une vue à couper le souffle ! Avant de reprendre la route pour Athènes, déjeuner local dans un petit restaurant typique face à la mer. Encore une fois, un lieu que nous n’aurions pas connu sans l’accompagnement de notre guide ! Nous nous sommes laissés guider et avons pu tester la nourriture exceptionnelle des lieux et une dorade toute fraîchement pêchée et digne des dieux ! Beaucoup d’échanges avec Antonis tout au long de l’excursion et jusqu’au retour à Athènes. Pas d’hésitation, nous referons appel à lui si d’aventure, nous revenons en Grèce!

Nous avons apprécié la demi journée avec Fotis qui est juste super sympa ! Il vous met à l'aise et se met à votre service et partage ses connaissances.
