Short on time? This is your tour!

Our guide, George, picked us up right on time at the cruise ship terminal. Turns out we were his only passengers that day. George was very knowledgeable and pointed out the sights as we drove by on our way to our first stop, the Acropolis. He dropped us off as close as he could and we proceeded on our own to explore the Acropolis Hill and the Parthenon. When we were done he was waiting for us at the same spot where we were dropped off. The day proceeded like this as we visited many sites in just a few hours. The tour included a ride to the top of one of the tall hills surrounding Athens for breath-taking views of this city of six million people. George returned us to the ship on time and even helped us get back a bag of souvenirs that we inadvertently left in his van. We were impressed with George's knowledge and his friendly demeanor that made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend his services to others who might have limited time, but want an efficient, comfortable tour of the highlights of Athens.

Panos was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Greece. He even asked me if I needed a ride for the trip to the airport the next morning. Overall very satisfied with the tour. It’s something everyone needs to see.

This is an expensive taxi ride

Don’t be fooled. A taxi picks you up and takes you to whatever you want to see. There is no knowledge given. While our driver was nice, it would have been nice to have a guide. Save your money & do a hop on hop off.

Hire a car for 5 hours private tour for 120€ with pick up and drop off at your place. He took you to all the sights of the city even in narrow streets where a hop on hop off bus can't reach he gave you all the necessary information for the sites you will visit, we kept what we promised and in addition we give you the possibility to hire an official guide for an extra fee, but you didn't. Do you compare the experience of a private tour with a tour of the city on a bus,? We will not really enter into any comments, we have given you all the information regarding the reservation, obviously the sense of quality and judgment is at a very low level and is not worth commenting on.

Acropolis plus Tour 4hours. Did not read small print initially so got to start of trip and then realised that entry fees where not inclusive. Private tour was not an individual tour guide either. Despite those hiccups our Driver Dimitri was amazing. Friendly knowledgeable and safe driver. Great experience due to the Driver. Tourist police where amazing as they heped us out with initial misunderstanding. Viator helpline person we contacted was rude started shouting at me. When I asked him not to shout as I was asking for an explanation. Never made out it was their fault. Just make sure when you book you read the small print. What is inclusive!

A Great Tour of the Acropolis

We had a very helpful and knowledgeable driver who was always there when we finished each part of the tour. He was also very helpful with suggestions on where we could purchase a few things we needed. This is a site that I have wanted to see all my life and we were lucky enough to get to do the tour a few days before the heat became so bad they had to close the site for several hours on two days.

We had avery knowledgeable tour guide that shared interesting stories of life in Athens in early days. Based on his recommendation we held up touring the Acropolis in the morning because of long lines. When we returned at 230pm there was no line! BTW, everyone has skip the lines tickets so there is always a long line. Our tour guide recommended an awesome restaurant for lunch. I would highly recommend this tour.

My error booked this tour and did not realize it was not guided. The driver had no knowledge of different buildings and was unable to answer most of our questions regarding changing of guards at Parliament etc. very disappointing

We would like to inform you that when you made your reservation, you received all the information about what is included in the tour and what is not. Please note that our wine guides speak English, are familiar with ancient Greek history, but are not official tour guides to accompany you to the archaeological sites. . We also mention that there is the possibility to choose an official guide in case you needed this service at an extra cost, something you did not choose. The fact that you refer to your term indicated some buildings which are simply known to us as cultural heritage and constitute our identity, but for you they are some buildings that you choose a wrong Tour

Andreas To The Rescue!

We were lucky enough to get Andreas as our guide. It was Greek Independence weekend with many road closures and lots of people celebrating. Andreas knew how to navigate Athens anyway; all of the side streets and alternate meeting spots. He was always waiting for us after our walks around the tour sites with a very clean and comfortable Mercedes. He loves his job and his city. We became fast friends and feel as though this could have been a disastrous tour without him, considering the city’s closures. Thanks Andreas!
