A very informative sightseeing tour with a guide and driver. Both were extremely helpful and informative and especially Stefan with a substantial knowledge of the City and a good sense of humor.

Maybe Not Viator in Future

Our tour was, at best, acceptable. Guide was knowledgeable but inexperienced in how to connect with people. On the plus side, we covered a lot of ground, saw Berlin in its entirety in six hours. Little regard given to our personal comfort. Driver and guide both very polite and pleasant but we had a tour, not an experience in Berlin. Have taken multiple tours through Viator and very much enjoyed them but this one was a disappointment especially for the price. Will not automatically go to Viator in future. Vehicle was not as nice as vehicles on other Viator tours. Dingy, ground in dirt on carpets. Minimally comfortable.

Thank you for confirming that the guide was "knowledgeable" and guide and driver have been both "very polite and pleasant". We regret that you have been disappointed with the car though. Usually a black Mercedes minivan with leather seats is used. Due to a technical problem on the part of Viator I have not been aware of your review earlier. Private Tour of Berlin

Stephan was very informative and spoke English very well. We really were impressed with his personalizing our tour to our needs. We enjoyed the highlights, especially the "blue church" and the tunnels people dug to cross out of East Berlin. We would never have seen these things on our own. Ended the day at a beautiful bier garden. Our driver, "George", was also very personable. The van was very comfortable. The only down-side, frankly, was the cost. It was over $800 for the four of us. That seems very high for a 6-hour tour. Other than that, I would recommend this private tour.

We enjoyed the historical details from the 19th century to present day balanced with humorous and informed commentary . The tour was exactly as described being professionally greeted at our hotel and accompanied with a professional driver and very well informed and entertaining tour guide made the six hours tour pass by at high speed.

Berhnard, our guide, was terrific! But our meeting place was not easy to find and our tour was cut short by 1 hour because the driver had a time limit. The sites we saw were very appropriate and educational. We could not have covered all without the tour.

Our family had the best experience in Berlin learning all about its history and memorable places! Stefan was a truly passionate guide who made all of us learn and experience the roots of Berlin in the most knowledgeable and credible way. Even with some language barriers as my parents don't speak neither English or German, Stefan had a lot of patience whilst allowing me to translate for a deep dive into the history. I can't recommend enough this tour for a family experience - its was truly enriching and a fun way to learn more about a such iconic city. Cheers to the driver who was also very kind, drove us around and coped with our requests to stop at Christmas Markets for a pretzel or two. Thanks Stefan and team! Ama

Stefan was fantastic. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the sites. We enjoyed our day with him. Our driver was very nice. My parents are traveling with us and they had mobility issues and both the driver and Stefan were great in accommodating and making sure that they were comfortable. I highly recommend Stefan.

Excellent tour with excellent guide- Markus and chauffeur ( i can’t remember his name). Guide Markus is an extremely knowledgeable, respectful, friendly and helpful individual who displays passion for his job through his insights and accounts about all the significant places and monuments with rich historical input. Our chauffeur complimented him by making funny but witty remarks throughout. They make a terrific duo. This is an excursion - an absolute must do and is worth all money. As a solo traveler, I couldn’t have covered as many places both in East and West Berlin, if it was not fir this tour- Guide Markus. Thank you Markus and Viator. I strongly recommend both the tour and guide Markus.

I was a solo traveler and did not know what to expect from this tour. However, I was in for a very interesting, informative and fun-filled excursion, many thanks to my guide Markus -an extremely knowledgeable, respectful and friendly individual who made this excursion very educational and enjoyable. He was informative and helpful in enhancing my understanding of the significance of the historical events and their impact on Berlin’s past and present. He also went a step ahead by advising me on making a wise choice of souvenirs. Secondly, our chauffeur(I cannot recollect his name) was funny and intelligent. All in all, Markus and the chauffeur made a terrific friendly and hospitable team. This excursion included a wide range of places that I visited, which could not have been possible otherwise in limited time if 1 day. I could visit almost all the major monuments and landmarks of the East and West Berlin. Markus also advised to go in for the Richetin (German Parliament visit) and I am hopeful to follow his advice. I would highly recommend this tour. It is worth the money.

We had our tour with Markus who was a fantastic guide. The tour is 6 hours and we covered a huge part of the city and a variety of areas. Markus took us to great local and tourist type places and gave us lots of interesting information. Our driver, whose name I forget, was also really professional and did a great job. It was a fantastic day and I would highly recommend it for a tour in Berlin. You can completely customize your day and are free to ask for a coffee break/lunch break whenever you want. This is worth the money you will spend for the day.
