Shelly was an outstanding guide. He gave us over an hour to snorkel and was knowledgeable and accommodating to our groups interests. We had an amazing time and are wanting to come back to do the night manta ray tour. We saw dolphins, a humpback whale and lots of fish as well as a manta ray on our way back in. Highly recommend this tour! A must do while in Kona.

An amazing excursion! Rob & Craig were great hosts and fabulous story tellers! The snorkeling was beautiful and many fish to see. The ride back was equally enjoyable seeing the lava tubes and celebrity vacation homes on the ocean. This was a safe and fun afternoon adventure. Well Done!

Great time at Captain Cook. You can't miss seeing lots of different kinds of fish. Tour guides were great and you had more than enough time to snorkel. On our way back we stopped at some old lava tubes and the red hill. Guides provided some historical insights on all locations. One note: if you get sea sick this smaller boat may not be for you. Overall a great experience.

It my first time snorkeling and Shelly/Rob made the experience amazing! The views and stops they made along the way to the snorkel site and back while sharing the island history was fantastic. They really care for their guests and do an amazing job of making sure everyone is having a good time and is safe. This will absolutely be on top of my list of things to do when I come back! Mahalo!

It was very professionally organised by Dolphin Discoveries. Very good quality equipment - they even had prescription snorkels which changed the way I see under water. We went again with them for Manta night the next day, and it was just as good or even better. Highly recommend. For those who feel a bit sea sick, and would otherwise not want to do this, should try taking Bonine and do this. It’s worth it :-)

Capt. Dennis was awesome. He was Funny, friendly, knowledgeable and always concerned for our safety. We saw too many fish to count. Small group size was a bonus! The tour of the coast, with some history of the area was a treat. Highly recommend booking this tour. We will definitely use Dolphin Discoveries when we come back to Kona! Thank you Capt. Dennis!

This tour offered a chance to enjoy the scenery of the Kona coastline. Dennis did a great job navigating as the captain of the Zodiac vessel. We were able to spot a few dolphins and swim around the shore and cove near Captain Cook’s statue. The water was clear, though a bit chilly and we were able to observe some of the under water scenery which included tropical fish, coral and eels.

The snorkeling trip was amazing for my husband and I! We were able to pick up our gear quickly and they even offer prescription goggles! After meeting by the dock we got to get to know the crew and safety guidelines for the trip! Captain Warren and Tim shared so much history about the area - way more than we expected! It was truly amazing and we would book again in a heartbeat!

We went for the early session -left at 8am. The boat ride out and back was smaller and in. We actually saw some whales and watched them prior to snorkeling. Lots of beautiful fish. We only did the one stop and it was enough for us.
