So Glad We Decided to Go
Charles_F, May 2024
Kai and Jade were awesome tour hosts. In addition to tasting some delicious food and great cocktails we learned a lot about the history of Hawaii. The pizza was a big hit with everyone as well as the Cajun fish and chips. Mai tai and Pina Colada’s were excellent.
All the food was...

All the food was excellent, and there was lots of it! Ellie was great, so knowledgeable about Hawaii’s history, and she has the perfect personality for her job. We had a super time!
Great Tour
NANCY_T, Apr 2024
The food was good and the guides Kai and Kamakea were great. They gave us a little history along the way.
Great start to your time in Kona
Erik_R, Apr 2024
Ellie was our tour guide and she was great. Enjoyed learning about Kona and the history. Our group’s favorite stop was the fish and chips at Foster’s Kitchen, but the food was great at each stop. Kona Inn bar was spectacular with the history and the view. I would recommend it as something to do early in your stay so you can go back to the places you enjoyed.
Go spend 150$ on your own to have a nice meal.

Absolutely not worth the money. There was a total of 4 food tastings plus the tiniest cup of gelato I have ever seen. If you aren’t drinking, you aren’t getting half of what you paid for. But even with the alcohol, it is still steeply overpriced. Plus you have to pay for parking ~35$. Really wish we had cancelled, saved the money, and taken ourselves on our own food tour. Would have been half the cost and double the portions. The tour guide was nice. But still not an experience I would recommend.
Great experience! Nina so how’s digestion going after?

Tour guides Ellie and Evie were fun, friendly and professional. They gave great background information about the areas we walked through on the Kona tour. Everything was planned out perfectly. The places that were selected to stop at for food and drink were excellent choices. Couldn’t have asked for anything to be better!!
Fun and delicious.

The tour started with some history of the area then on to seven food stops. Great pace as there were guests with different levels of mobility. A variety of food so there was something for everyone.
Five Stars

Kai was a fabulous guide - easy pace, beautiful views, delicious foods/drinks while listening to interesting stories about the history/area...what a ton of fun we had!

This tour was so much fun. Kai and Evie were great tour guides. Just enough history and background information to keep it interesting. The food was great.
Great Food tour in Kona
Tere_F, Feb 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed the Kona Food tour thanks to Kama and Kai. Just wish we would have done this at the beginning of our stay so we could have returned to many of the locations. No worries - we'll be back soon!

Each stop, was even more amazing than the last!
Lynn_B, Jan 2024
The guides were absolutely amazing and so we all the food stops. I never knew what an excellent Poke bowl was until I went to one of the restaurants on the tour. I would suggest us tour to anybody who loves trying different foods.
Wonderful Food and Drink with Kai
Karl_R, Jan 2024
Kai was a fantastic guide. We have been on food tours around the world and this one was one of the best. We learned about the history of Kona and Hawaii which was a bonus. Food and drink were great. Poke, fantastic pizza, fish and chips, Mai Tai’s, Pina Colada’s and homemade gelato. We thank you Kai for making our first day on the Big Island so memorable.
Unique Culture of Beloved Local Restaurateurs
Archie_M, Jan 2024
Ellie was relaxed and personable, making the tour feel welcoming. She took us to the hidden “jewels” of food spots that highlighted uniqueness and excellence. From an inherited recipe for clam chowder soup at Froggs’s to fried avocado appetizers, outstanding poke and cornflour fish and chips….and much in between…we were more than satisfied and educated about this delightful historic sote of the big island….including the Inn where John Wayne married his third wife in 1954.
Yummy your!
Elizabeth_D, Jan 2024
