Biggest tourist trap in Buenos Aires, don’t waste your money!

This experience was absolutely awful. Transportation - I was told I would be picked up at 7, didn’t get picked up til 8 with very little communication. They were adamant to be ready by 7 or risk being left behind. I sat in the lobby waiting and waiting and waiting. Food - Outside of the starter (empanadas), everything else tasted bad. The “lasagna” was made using crêpes instead of pasta and the dessert was bland. My ice cream was already melting when it got to my table. Wine was of terrible quality. Service - left something to be desired Show - The show was decent but didn’t start until 10pm. I sat at my table for an hour and a half eating my terrible food. Unsure why we needed to arrive so early. Overall, this was not worth the money and I learned you can find other tango shows at local bars for a fraction of the price. I did this as a solo traveler and wouldn’t recommend for solo or group traveling. As a solo traveler, they sat me in the corner, alone. Unsure why they couldn’t sit all the solo travelers together. Again, don’t waste your money or your time! This was 4 hours of my vacation I didn’t get back!

The 30 minutes of tango we watched in this five hour experience was great but the total event is far too long and boring. It’s over priced at $139 pp. The food is mediocre. The company said they couldn’t pick us up, which is included, bc of a road closure but out Uber driver got us there fine. I think you can find a better tango experience in BA that isn’t such a tourist trap.

Arrived at 7:30, we ate our delicious meal. Then we sat until the show started LATE at 10:10. We were forced to wait without explanation for a group who arrived late.

Excellent Music and tango show. Dont miss it. specialfly the Piazzolla Music was top dinner was mediocre and Way too long waiting time. Some guests arrived 2130 and had the best seatsand had dinner. We had to be three at 20

We really enjoyed the show and the evening. Food was good, The only thing that caused some frustration is that the pick-up arrangements did not come on time; so we took a taxi.

I read other reviews about this and all I can say is the food, the show and the whole experience was just fantastic! So atmospheric sitting in an old fashioned music theatre, eating great food and sipping Malbeck while watching a great show. Would definitely recommend this as something to finish off your trip in BA with.

Excellent Tango Show but Moderate Dinner

The tour agent pick us up from hotel at 7:15PM and we actually reached the Piazzolla Tango around 8PM. The dinner is not attractive. The Tango show started at 10:00 PM and ended at 11:30PM. We waited 2 hours for the show. We would recommend just join the Tango show and forget about the dinner. You can have much better dinner in BA downtown.

I highly recommend attending the show. We skipped the dinner & arrived 9:15 pm. Enjoyed wine before the show. It started at 10 pm sharp. The show started off mellow & continued to get better. Well thought out. Musicians & singers were passionate & talented. Each set was unique. We were lucky to see the 2019 Tango World Champions. Amazing! The professional dancers were phenomenal. My only recommendation is to not allow children under the age of 8. It's distracting & this is not an environment for them. We want to enjoy the show in peace. Thank you to the parents that exited quickly.

The show was amazing and is a good amount of time as normally this type of shows are just a few minutes. Food wasn't really good, it was okay and the type of wine was great either. It was fun to have the Tango classes, but overall there was a lot wait and four hours is a long time to get everything done.

Beautiful theater, delicious dinner and professional tango dancers! What else could we ask for? The only thing I would suggest is to take out the couple of erotic dances which lowers the elegancy of the show and the venue.

Fabulous evening from start to finish. Transport was excellent with driver on time for pickup and there to pick us up after show finished. The meal was good with excellent service and the tango lesson was fun but not mandatory. The tango show was excellent and highly recommend this tour....value for service offered.

Our evening was wonderful. The transportation was stress free; our driver picked us up in a timely manner, and was waiting outside the theater after the show to return us to our hotel. Once at the theater all went well with good service, a nice meal, and free flowing wine. The show was terrific; we were so impressed by the dancers' moves and stamina. We'd recommend this event to others without reservation.

No one knows to speak English I ordered a tour not in Spanish. It was very complicated to get the return to the hotel after the show.

2nd time we went to see this show this year and we liked it again. Food is good but not excellent, service is great and the show itself is amazing On the pick up and drop off though we had a very strange driver on the way back who did not know the direction to Palermo, did not have a GPS and relied on our GPS apps to give him guidance. Totally unprofessional.

I would give this experience 3.5 stars...

I would give this experience 3.5 stars overall. The Tango show itself is excellent but everything else - not so much. The email communication leading up to the show was very confusing. It asked us to be at the theater by 9:30 pm and drop off was included since we weren't staying at a downtown hotel. When we got to the theater, they asked us to pay 300 pesos for the drop off back to the hotel. The show doesn't start until 10:30 pm. It's about an hour and a half and the performers are the real deal not some kind of amateurs. We ordered Pisco sours and they were the worst ever. We couldn't even drink more than a sip. There are about 200 people watching the show including kids. Also, they should consider not allowing videos and pictures since most people obstruct the view for others and some brilliant folks use flash in a dark theater. After the show, the shuttle situation was a cluster and you need to factor in about an hour from the time the show ends to when you get to your hotel.
