Pickup details

The exact pick-up time will be confirmed after the booking has been completed. Our driver will call out your name on your hotel's lobby or assigned meeting point. We'll offer 5 minutes of tolerance, in case you don't show up on time, we will infer that you will reach our location by yourself or that you simply declined to take the tour.

What To Expect

Meet your guide at your Cancun hotel for transfer to a marina that’s a short boat ride from the snorkeling site. Learn the basics of snorkeling equipment and safety: practice using fins, breathing through the snorkel and defogging your mask, then slip into the calm, shallow water.

Stop at a series of three snorkeling locations that highlight the Great Maya Reef’s diversity and wildlife. Make your first stop over vibrant coral, the perfect place to find bright reef fish, colorful urchins, and even a shy octopus; take advantage of snorkeling with a guide to spot hard-to-find species that blend into their environment.

Continue to a site where seagrass covers the seafloor, providing habitat for crabs and lobster, sea turtles and the rays that rest on the sandy bottom. Save the best for last—your final stop is a part of the shoreline where bioluminescent creatures sparkle each time you move. Return to shore to shower and change before complimentary transfer to your hotel.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Sadly, they said the weather was bad last night, they wanted us to go at 5:00pm but we were in Isla Mujeres at that time. Then they wanted us to go at 2:30p.m. Which we were still in Isla Mujeres that day. Who does a bioluminescence tour in daylight? The evening was very beautiful so weather was good last night, not sure what the problem was, we are here for the week, asked them to rebook us for another day and received no response. I would be leary of booking with these people. Made it easy because we were going to meet them at their water location, wanted to rebook, but did not give us an option to rebook. Used Viator for many trips first time I have ever had a problem before this.

Great experience... rebooked without difficulty when we missed our transportation. When we made it the next night, had a magical experience. Lots of turtles, a cuttlefish, and lots of other fauna. Moises, our guide, was great. Highly recommend.

I had the BEST time on this excursion. I ended up being the only participant but Oscar and Alex still accommodated me. I've been to that area before but it was completely different at night. We saw many turtles, squids, fish, and even a ray. I highly recommend it.
