Hamilton was an excellent guide and host. He is knowledgeable in both South African history and the vineyards. We loved the wine at each stop with food pairings. Cheese at one, springbok, kudu, and beef at the other. It was a lovely afternoon in the beautiful countryside outside of Cape Town. Enjoyed the tour of Stellenbosch. Request Hamilton if you can.

Perfect amount of time. Driver (Wellington) was great and vineyards were fabulous. Recommend to anyone that is short on time but wants to see South Africa wineries.

First winery did not have any outdoor seating and the gift shop was very small. The tasting was very good and the staff was wonderful. The second winery the staff, location and view were wonderful. However the wines had more French flavors than South African which is what we were expecting.

We had a wonderful day with Lou touring the Stellenbosch region. We visited two wineries, each unique in their presentation of wines and pairings. We had a short tour of the quaint town of Stellenbosch. Lou was knowledgeable and kind. Our group of four would highly recommend.

Eddie made the tour like no other!

I had the pleasure of experiencing a tour guided by Eddie around Stellenbosch, and I must say, it was unlike any other. We paid extra for a private tour of a group of five adults. We were collected on time in a stylish, spacious and comfortable car. We visited two winery’s, Zevenwacht then Marianne. In Zevenwacht we viewed the wine cellar then had a tasting of four wines (2 red & 2 wine) paired with cheese and crackers. In Marianne, we viewed the vineyards then sampled five wines (1 rose, 2 red and 2 white) paired with biltong. Zevenwacht is dated in comparison to Marianne however the wine and snacks were more to our taste pallet. Our tour guide Eddie's approach stands out as he allows guests to explore at their own pace, fostering a sense of freedom and autonomy rarely found in guided tours. His captivating tone of voice effortlessly held our attention without being overbearing, making the journey both informative and a memorable experience. Eddie's unique style truly elevated the experience, leaving me with fond memories and a desire to explore more under his guidance.

I enjoyed the tour. Particularly enjoyed Marianne Wine Estate which was beautiful and had wines that I found interesting, in some parts complex and drinkable. Our tour guide was also very knowledgeable about South African history and the historical and demographic development of the area which added to the overall expenses.

It was a wonderful tour with an amazing well learned tour guide. Wuhyo (pardon my spelling) made the trip educational and joyful from the get go followed by two wine estate visits. For someone who doesn’t not know wine like wine enthusiasts and wine lovers, there was Alot of learning and fun that happened . American Eagle did not falter in communication or prep of the tour. Kudos to the team on keeping such tours open for the visitors. Stellenbosch was a pleasure and the historic background made my day!

Dylan was a safe driver and personable as he pointed out sights during the tour, including grazing elands and zebras. He was punctual and also flexible in picking me up at a location other than my hotel, so my morning was free to explore other activities. The wines were paired with cheeses at both vineyards, and the pours were plentiful. A half day wine tasting provided time to explore other activities in the morning.
