What To Expect

Meet up with your guide in central Cartagena in the afternoon. You’ll spend the next several hours exploring the city’s thriving art scene with the help of an art historian guide.

Head to Getsemani, the city’s cutting edge cultural area, where you can learn more about the local street art scene. You’ll stop by a “graffiti gallery” showcasing the work of Pedro Romero, and visit the studios of several local artists to learn more about their creative inspiration and check out their work. You’ll even have the opportunity to purchase a few artworks of your own as a souvenir of the trip.

You’ll end the excursion in Getsemani.

      The tour guide never showed up. I repeatedly called and got no answer. I’m still waiting for a refund.
      Extremely disappointed because no taken because tour guide did not show up and we could not reach anyone about this.

      The tour guide did not show up. We tried to reach both Viator and This Is Cartagena and they did not reply. We need to get out money back. We were extremely disappointed.

      Despite charging my card and sending reminders by text, when I arrived at the meeting point there was no tour guide or group to be seen. This Is Cartagena provided no explanation. I waited about 30 minutes in all before contacting Viator to ask for a refund.

      I arrived ten minutes early in order to find the right meeting spot. Prior to that, I messaged the contact, and she NEVER answered a single message to help me find the meeting spot! Still haven’t heard from her. After looking around frantically trying to find it and get some help, I gave up hope and went on my own art tour. Although I believe I saw the same things, I paid to be shown around…not show myself! As I walked around, I never even ran into a tour group, so I’m actually questioning if this tour even took place.

      A great tour through local art galleries and to see some of the street art in the Getsemani neighborhood. There is a lot of beautiful and funky art in Cartagena and this is a good way to get a taste of it from the inside with a local artist. I highly recommend.
