My guide was knowledgeable about Palenque and its origins. Beautiful take and history. I rode a horse and was my first time. I caution you to be careful with the horses.
I traveled throughout Palenque and learned new dances and enjoyed the food. The guide was personable and we hit along well, slight language miscommunications between English and Spanish.
The tour also focused on the authentic town and its people.
Relaxing and Unique Journey

Ronald was a really kind and fun guide for our horseback riding experience. Fun fact: My wife and I had never been on a horse before! We saw how people lived in the community and grew food. There wasn’t much dialogue, just a small
bit, on the history or educational part of Palenaque. The food at the end was AMAZING. Everyone was kind :)
The best tour in Colombia!

WORTH IT! If you’re visiting Colombia this is a must! My partner and I rode horses throughout the whole region of Palenge, exploring acres of farm land and experiencing first hand how the Palenge people live. Our tour guide Eric also showed us around on foot while informing us on the history of their community. Such a memorable experience that no one should miss!
Not the typical tour. Even better

What an amazing experience. If you want to immerse yourself into the Palenque culture this is the tour for you. Our tour guide Eric and Tyler took us through their village both walking and horseback, showing us their way of life. From the creeks they fish in, and lakes they bathe in, to the plantation where they get their source of food was truly an eye opener. Everyone we encountered was smiling, waving and even got to meet the medicine man. The excitement showed by the tour guide in explaining their culture and past demonstrated that they love what they do and comes from
Within.
Interesting but short on content

Definitely a unique experience as you get a chance to ride through what is the equivalent to a reservation. I rode on an English speaking tour where as only one of three guides spoke English.
Someone in my group spoke Spanish well so they did not feel inclined to speak English unless I was persistent with my question or used the other group member as a translator.
As far as the tour...
Firstly there were no quick guides on horseback riding, luckily we all had previous experience.
Outside of that it was an alright tour that didnt seem to have a specific focus once we started riding, we stopped a few times in the shade and near a stream but there wasn't a real plan or reason. There we were with a two minute blurb on what the area meant to them then ten more minutes of semi akward silence before a small group of us went to a nearby corn field.
Here may have been the highlight as we discussed the types of corn but again it wasn't clear when the farming ended what their practices were all fun interesting things that make a tour.
Lastly we went to an area with their traditional housing and village layout, which was excellent. Here there was a short blurb of history but for me not enough content.
We returned to town for an excellent meal of pork shoulder soup and a local fish served with rice.
