I have now forgotten the name of the tour guide, but he was good. The minaret is imposing. The mosque would have no external beauty without the minaret.

False Advertising

Thought we had booked a tour for 2- it turned out to be a tour for 16. Taken to a herbal store and rug store-was not part of the tour. At the restaurant Charged 6-7 Euro per soft drink- outrageous price for Casablanca! The tour guide went mussing at the mosque- we waited for tickets-no fast tracking. No information provided by the guide at the mosque. He did take a group photo. False advertising. I would not recommend booking this tour with Viater.

Very little commentary or information provided. The guide spent much of the tour on his phone. The diver was reading messages on his phone while driving. Left to wait at the mosque for 20 minutes. No reason provided. Eventually we were passed on to another guide who was part way through his tour of the mosque. The tour was very disappointing.

The tour started badly, the operator was not at all organised, we sat on the bus for an hour waiting for 2 people the had been put on the wrong bus, so we were an hour late leaving. We spent way too long at the mosque, well over 2 hours rather than the 1hr it was supposed to be. This meant we were rushing to get through the rest of the tour. Driving by rather than stopping as we were supposed to do. Did not enjoy it at all.

The mosque was magnificent,but could have done it by ourselves, Moosa our guide was only interested in taking us to his special shop to sell us creams and oils, gave us 5 min outside Ricks Cafe. Wouldn’t let us browse in the markets., the lunch was touristy and rushed,and then Moosa tell us he’s getting off the bus, and went around to every person demanding a tip. Other guys on the same tour with other guides loved the tour and we’re given time fotr coffee and market shopping .

Our guide Wasabi was fabulous. Very informative and knowledgeable. English was great. Sadly the van that we were in did not have the audio system working. We either had to listen without aircon, or the people at the back couldn't hear. We then got too hot. Also the electric step on the side did not work making entering and exiting rather difficult.

Disappointing

Very disappointed with this trip which was 45min late departing , we only drove past Ricks Cafe, spent 1.5hr at Mosque, missed going to Notre Dame, Arab League Park, did not visit Quartier Habous, no walking tour of Old Medina and did a very quick walk through fresh food markets. Jamel preached Islam to us when we were interested in the Mosque itself.

Great experience in Casablanca

Mohammed our guide was excellent. He shared his knowledge of the city and its people, buildings and history with ease and it was both educational and enjoyable. He was concerned with our enjoyment and comfort at all time. Ali our driver was a marvel maneuvering our vehicle through the congestion streets and alleyways safely and with great precision. Amizar our guide at the Hassan II mosque provide a narrative and commentary that was informative, educational and inclusive. Excellent experience.

The tour advertised 9 different stops, we visited 4. Our driver did not take us to Old Medina, Habbous, Arab League Park, United Nations Square or Central Marketplace and only had 5 minutes for photos at Rick's Cafe. We did see the Hassan II Mosque and it was beautiful as well as the beach where it can be seen from afar. The guide answered all of our questions. Additionally we were not offered the bottled water as noted in the description. The traffic was awful, but the driver navigated it well. Tour left one hour late and we did not stop for any food or drinks. Would not recommend.

Waist of time

Hassan II Mosque was incredible BUT our bus left 50 minutes late. It did not follow the agenda. It drove past places it was supposed to stop at and we were taken to a rug store which was not on the agenda in the hope we would buy one. Our tour guide Jamal was a lovley person however a 1hr stop at the Mosque went for 1hr40minutes where we heard more about our guides life & religion than the building itself. The history was interesting but needed to be shorter. They did not stop at Rick's Cafe, Old Madina Casablanca, Arab league park, Square of Mohamed & By the time we got to Notre Dame de Lordes it was closed. Jamal then suggested we come back later when it was open. This is when I asked to be let off the bus!! This trip waisted our time. We booked a 4.5hr tour so this is when I got off as we wanted to do some shopping and I had no intention of waisting more of our time

Left 45 minutes late. Did not follow the advertised itinerary. Spent a considerable amount of time talking about irrelevant stuff. Reminded me of a very bad primary school excursion. Hire a local taxi instead to see the sights.
