Great Day in Cozumel!

JC was great! He was very knowledgeable, and took us to interesting spots. We went through both the touristy areas and off the beaten path. The ruins were the highlight, but the whole tour is the perfect five hour excursion if you are coming off a cruise ship for one day. My only advice would be for the tour company to pick an shop next to the 7-eleven, because that location has many other people trying to sell you other tours.

Had a great time learning about the island with our tour guide JC. He did an amazing job explaining the culture and history of the island that he loves so much. We also enjoyed learning about the San Gervasio ruins with the official guide. So much rich history here. It’s an experience we will never forget.

JC was awesome! We had a private tour and JC is very knowledgeable, professional, very caring and attentive to our needs.. he even went above and beyond at the end.. we wanted to try a restaurant that g graciously offered to drop us off at.. once we got there, realized we didn’t have enough cash for a tip for a taxi to go back because the tip was going to JC… he mentioned the taxis are cash only so we asked if could take us back to the terminal and he did.. then he hugged us a the end! Just a genuine, good natured man who made our experience that much better! Thank you JC!!!

There were 3 of us on a tour with Petrus. He was absolutely the best! We toured the Mayan ruins in Cozumel and he was very knowledgeable and kept us interested the whole time. He then drove us to a couple of different beaches and we relaxed and talked. He was really a great guide and I highly recommend him and the entire expericne.

In car most of day. No AC. Windblown with windows down. No license plate on car. I think the guide was high constantly t Calling about fairies and sorcerers and just crazy crazy stuff. At Mayans guide was obsessed with the white stuff on rocks no other Mayan culture discussed.

This was my favorite excursion of the entire week. Carlos was an absolutely lovely person who truly enjoys sharing his home island with tourists. His goal is to ask what you're interested in and then focus on that. We saw Mayan ruins (with an official guide named Ricardo, price included in the tour). Carlos also showed us several local historical monuments and some fun natural rock formations on the beach. Finally, we asked for local cuisine so he took us to a local restaurant. I got the biggest plate of ceviche I have ever had for $20 USD (not included in tour price). Another lovely thing is that this was the ONLY tour we went on this week where nobody tried to upcharge us by selling photos, or a video, or steering us to local merchants so they could try to take our money. This was not a luxury tour, but it was private to our family, and there was free beer, soda and water, more than we could drink. If you are looking for an "authentic" tour instead of a "touristy" tour, this is the one for you!

Tour was great. The guide (through Leon Tours) was knowledgeable about the different sites, good with the kids, and took great photos for us at the various locations. It was great to have the flexibility to spend as much or as little time at a site as we'd like since it was a private tour. We never felt rushed. We really enjoyed the mix of historical sites and beach locations, giving out kids a bit of culture but also a bit of freedom to play and explore. The only negative was that we had lunch at a beach where locals descended upon us with aggressive sales pitches and constant table side visits. That being said, the location was beautiful, there was lots for the kids to explore, and the food was tasty.

We had a great day with JC! Our tour lasted 5 hours (10 am - 3pm). JC took my husband and I around the island and showed us downtown Cozumel and other areas of interest. We toured the San Gervasio Mayan ruins, went to a tequila tasting, ate lunch on the beach and relaxed for awhile and then drove around more of the island before returning. I highly recommend this tour. JC was very knowledgeable being that he was born and raised on Cozumel. Take the tour!!

We loved our experience in Cozumel. I wanted to learn some history and our tour guide Petrus was just the man for the job. He took us around the island teaching us the language and history of Cozumel. We went to the Mayan ruins and really enjoyed our time there. Afterword we went to a local beach which was quiet and beautiful, the perfect place to sip on drinks and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Once we met up with Carlos, it was a great day, but directions to the rendezvous point could have been clearer. We ended up meeting up at the 7-11, but nowhere in the directions or any correspondence did it say that. In fact, there were no directions. After speaking with 3 different information booths, the last sent us to a tour company they thought was what we were looking for. They were not, but they knew who we were looking for and called him. That was the only way we knew to meet at the 7-11.

The entire tour was amazing and JC our tour guide was more than we could have asked for. Thanks JC. The beach at the end was the cherry on top. He couldn't have picked a better spot for the ending of our tour. The location, the gentle slope into the water for the little ones, amazing food. All the details for the tour were handled by them ahead of time so all we had to do is sit back and enjoy! I highly recommend this tour and would use this group again when I come back.
