Tour guides were amazing. Hotels were in good locations. Seamless handoffs between taxi and train. Staff were friendly and helpful. Should have given option for 4 star hotel.
..Be aware of the travel details- flights are your responsibility
      Randall_S, Mar 2024
This was an excellent tour and we enjoyed getting to see so many wonderful places in South America. Luis was our guide and did an outstanding job with the history, the pace of the tour and showing us Macchu Picchu like I never imagined. That being said, the viator website says ALL TRANSPORTATION INCLUDED IN THE ITINERARY....but they fail to mention that YOU, the traveler must book your flight from Juliaca once the tour is over. Our understanding was that they would return us to LIMA for a flight home. As long as you know, that you are responsible for any and all flights, the tour is well worth the money. The hotels were very good, clean and nicely appointed and the tour buses were great. The host, Freddy, stayed in touch and let us know each afternoon what the schedule would be for the next day. The days start early but are well worth it.
      Response from Host, Mar 2024
Dear Mr. Randall, Thank you for takina time and share your expeience and we thank you for your very possitive words that make you happy in general about our services and tour guides. Reagarding the transportation, we include all of them but ground transportation like trains, van. UNFORTUNATELLY we don´t provide flights, actually this is mentioned in the exclussions section. We are sorry if you couldn´t see that specific point, but is listed in the exclussions section. Again Thank you for your very words, we will definitely make a note you our future clients about inclussion and axclussion section. Best regards Fredi
Great tour of the Sacred Valley and Lake Titicaca
      Varun_N, Dec 2023
The hotels were clean, and breakfast was provided at all of them. Huge shout-out to Efrain, the guide in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, who explained everything very clearly and pointed out the best places to take photos. I also really enjoyed the floating islands and Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca. I was pleasantly surprised that the tour did not require a lot of intense physical activity at high elevation. The only issue with the tour was that no itinerary was provided in advance. I only found out the exact schedule for each day on the previous night. I also did not know I could leave some of my bags in the hotel in Cusco while I spent a few days going to Machu Picchu.
      Great experience
      Samantha_M, Nov 2023
Machu Picchu was amazing. Enjoyed the tour. Didn’t get offered a tour on day 1. Tour is only really 4 days. Very early starts but means you get to attractions before the crowds. Not much communication on pick up times on a couple of occasions. Tour guides were very good but difficult to understand and spoke in 2 languages so made it long.
      Response from Host, Nov 2023
Good morning Samantha, Thank you for sharing your feedback which important to us to fix every detail as possible. Regharding your comments: 1.- The Iitinerary was clear day by day before you cose our tour where day one is arrival and free day. I personally meet you and inform all about itineraryeven offered you as ever that on day 1 there are additional tour for an extra cost. 2.- All starts in geral are between 6: 30 to 7:00am which I also inform in time. If we go later we will miss time to exlore so all of itineraries in Peru with any company the starts are earlier than 7:30am. 3.- During our meeting time I personally updated the pick up times and using whatsapp as well. 4.- The only day which bilingual tour was on day 4 on the ride from Cusco to Puno (sightseeing bus tour) which is the only option to travel from Cusco to Puno city. Other than that our tour guides were provided per lunguage. I appreciate your feedback and will care more your points to ensure a better services and experiences to future travellers. Best regards Raj
An excellent tour with friendly & knowledgeable tour leaders.
      Thomas_T, Oct 2023
The trip to Machu Picchu was amazing ! It's a bit of a process getting there but well worth the effort . After the train trip to Agua Callante & spending the night there we were up early for the bus ride to Machu Picchu. Once arriving at the site , our guide, Gary, was very helpful in getting us through the entrance and on to the hike. The altitude was a factor but the pace set was comfortable and again at each rest stop Gary gave us detailed information about the site. The vistas are beyond belief & we were fortunate in that the weather was perfect. The Peruvian government gets kudos for the management of the site and dealing with the crowds of people that access the site daily. Our trip to Lake Titacaka was great as well. Our guide, Percy was very friendly , helpful and knowledgeable as well. During the boat ride to Uros, the floating reed island , Percy gave lots of backrgound information about the islands and their people. The island itself and those families that live there are unique and it's amazing and impressive to see this kid of traditional life style being continued in 2023. Our next stop was at Taquile Island. This island is beautiful and again the continuation of a traditional lifestyle is amazing. Our guide Percy was on very good terms with the local folks and was able to answer all our questions. The lunch we were served of fresh broiled trout was outstanding, as were the views from the dining room. After lunch we walked about 45 minutes to the other side of the island where we met the boat for the return trip to Puno. It was a full day, and the altitude of the lake being over 12,000 ft. was again a factor but well worth it..
      Trip of a lifetime...a success!

Fantastic tour from start to finish. We are so glad that we decided to take the trip considering all current turmoil in the country. The Peruvian people made us feel welcome and were very helpful, We never once felt unsafe. We were prepared to rearrange our itinerary should circumstances dictate, but we were able to complete all our chosen locations and activities. Thankyou to the fantastic guides who showed us around their beautiful country.
      Highly recommend this trip

The whole trip was organized very well from airport pickup to everyday activities. Although my itenary was changed due to the traffic block over Titicaca lake, I had more days in Cusco. Stay in good hotel with good service, all the local tour guys are friendly and knowledgeable with high professional standard

      Rachel_B, Oct 2022
We had a great time! Our guide in Cuzco and Machu Picchu, Michael was fantastic. Very informative and helpful. We really enjoyed our time with him. Nestor in Puno was also fantastic. Preferred form of communication with the tour company is on the WhatsUp app. I tried communicating through Viator and didn’t get a response for quite some time but as soon as I found their contact information on WhatsUp app they were very prompt in messaging me back.
      Solo on six day
      Melissa_L, Jul 2022
I was a little nervous to join a tour solo but our guide Bernado and Machupicchu Latin Tours made me feel welcomed. My favorite part was the Sacred Valley and Machupicchu. Our tour was well paced and very informative. At times I felt we were receiving extra bits of information which I loved.
Unforgettable experience in the land of the Incas
      Gilberto_C, Jun 2022
Very well organized tour of Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. We were pick up promptly at the Cusco airport early in the morning and taken to the hotel. We were given a room hours before check in time. The next day, our tour guide Bernardo Huambo took us on an unforgettable trip through the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We are world travelers and ask many questions. Bernardo is extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain in detail the rich history of the region. This part of the itinerary takes two days with one night spent in Aguas Calientes. The highlight of the valley is Ollantaytambo, where you will see impressive Inca constructions in a mountain slope. Machu Picchu is simply wonderful. Next you are taken on a one way trip to Puno on a tourist bus with 5 stops. Each one is different and enjoyable. You will see a lavishly decorated chapel in a small town, the Raqchi archeological site where the Incas built a walled city at the edge of the empire, a glacier between snowy mountains and a museum in Pacara. The next day you will visit Lake Titicaca with stops at the floating islands and Taquile island. The hotels were nice, with good breakfast and centrally located in Cusco, Aguas Calientes and Puno. Make sure the first day you rest, eat little and drink the coca tea while you adjust to the high altitude of Cusco (11,152 ft). Ask for Bernardo as your tour guide, as is not only the places, but the stories behind it. Ollantaytambo story is the stuff of a Hollywood movie. This is a highly recommended tour.
A great trip to Macchu Picchu, Lake Titihaha and surrounds.
      Bruce_M, Feb 2022
The Altiplano and the mountians around Macchu Picchu were incredible. great guides and comfortable lodging. Fabrico at Macchu Picchu was like meeting an old friend that lived there, knew the place and wanted to tell you all about it. In all, a great trip.
      An Unforgettable Dreamy Experience
      Carol_P, Jan 2021
I was very fortunate to be able to visit Peru within a small window of availability during this long COVID nightmare. The experience lingers like a beautiful dream. Fredi did everything he could to work within the ever changing restrictions so I could have almost the entire amazing experience. Jordi, the driver greeted me at the airport , which is the most comforting feeling when you disembark in a foreign land not speaking the language. Fredi carefully explained all the details to me immediately upon my arrival at the Hotel Ruinas which was very nice and just two blocks from the Plaza des Armas. The sacred Valley and Machu Picchu were even more magical than I imaged. I often got the impression I was the only foreign tourist in all of Peru. Fabriizo, my guide was extremely knowledgeable about his second home (Machu Picchu) and made sure I got the best pictures possible. I learned so much that I keep thinking about and researching. It was hard to turn that last corner and not see Machu Picchu any more. Do spring the extra money for the Vista train. The seats are spacious and the windows give you a lovely view of the near rainforest. Jordi, the driver was very nice and friendly and never caused me worry at all. I felt very safe. He also shared a lot of interesting details on the ride back to Cusco. Lake Titicaca was beautiful as well. The trip was shorter than it would have been because of COVID restrictions, but I so enjoyed being out on the Lake and seeing the floating islands and how the people live there. It was so peaceful. Bring lots of soles because the women make beautiful crafts that are of high quality and you will love the memories they bring back to you. Also bring sunscreen. Fredi even found me a guide to take me around some Inca areas outside of Puna during my free time there. I wish I could live this whole experience all over again.
Great tour but no way to leave Peru
      Meera, Mar 2020
Our tour was great. We enjoyed the sights and thought highly of the professional guides and drivers. Unfortunately, our 6 day tour was cut short by 2 days for the excursion to Puno. The Peruvian govt. stopped all flights out of here. Our tour operator, Fredi, was in contact with us. He sent his very helpful agent, Luis, to help us get a required 15 day hotel reservation. Fredi’s co. will pay for the 2 nights lost. We pay for 13 days. The problem now is we are on lock down in Cusco and our Mar. 24th Jet Blue flight back to U.S. from Lima is cancelled. We are without any information about our status as U.S. citzens and how to get out. Does anyone know we are here? Can you please help us? We need information as we are stranded. Thank you.
      Fabulous Trip
      evonneblack34, Feb 2020
After searching many tours on-line I chose the Best of Peru 6-Day Tour. I found it to be excellent in every way. I was travelling by myself and found their friendly staff were there to greet me at every stop along the way. The hotels in Cusco, Agues Clients and Puno were clean and well located. It may have been because I was travelling in the off season but I was not with the same people for the entire 6 days. Instead different people joined the tour in each of the various cities. I actually really enjoyed this as it gave me a chance to travel with people from London, Poland, Germany and USA. The tour guides were also different in each of the locations. I can't say enough about the quality of the guides - they were knowledgeable and willing to answer any question I would ask. They would offer me helpful suggestions of places to eat and other sites I may want to check out on my free time. The 6 days were generally long days with early morning starts but it is how they cover all there is to see in a short period of time. I would highly recommend using Machupicchu Latin American Journeys to get a good overview of Peru. I did spend 5 days in Lima following the tour to attend my nephew's wedding and stayed at Ibis Larco Miraflores hotel - this was an excellent hotel and very reasonably priced.
      Peru trip
      Eugenia_C, Jul 2019
Awesome vacation. Transportation and guides were prompt. Tours were very informational. Guides knew the history. Felt a little rushed during Machu Picchu tour but still great experience. All hotels were clean and in great locations for walking. Favorite was floating islands on Lake Titicaca and island of Tequile. Best trip.
      Jam packed
      Ryan_W, Jun 2019
Pros: we saw so much in 6 days, the guides were very knowledgeable, and the itinerary was well planned out. The hotels were all very nice and the included meals were delicious. Cons: we had different guides pretty much every day, sometimes felt rushed, and weren't given an option for lunch one day and had to buy the most expensive meal we experienced during our trip. Overall we were satisfied with our trip and would recommend to others.
      Beautiful Adventure
      Go56127488464, Jun 2019
This was a beautiful active tour. The itinerary and reviews were accurate. We flew into Lima and did a day for ourselves there which I recommend. When we flew into Cusco a guide met us at airport and gave us a packet with our detailed itinerary, tickets etc. Everything went exactly as planned. Hotels were great. Pick ups were exactly as scheduled, and you have a point of contact every day. Be aware this is a very ACTIVE tour, EARLY starts about 6am every day. Lots of walking, stairs, uneven surfaces. But you will not be disappointed! We loved every part! You will appreciate the beautiful countryside, mountains in the clouds, and history. Macchu was breathtaking and more expansive than i realized. One of my favorite days was also Lake Titicaca which was the most beautiful water and island. Took my 3 kids (ages 8-12). They loved it. We also flew back from Juliaca to avoid the all day drive to Cusco. Look up sites on Google, just like pictured.
Best of Peru is a great description!
