Entertaining Experience

I will be honest and say at first my tour guide (Kashi) had me a bit concerned. He came off a bit aggressive and impatient. However throughout the trip that energy shifted and he became more so friendly and relaxed. The overall tour was amazing , we were picked up from the hotel with about 4 others where we drove about 45 mins to the desert. We first rode the atvs for about half an hour then we rode in the car for dune bashing the car ride was about an hour but it was extremely fun. Please be mindful if you have a weak stomach. I don’t so I enjoyed it. We stopped midway in the desert for pics and sand boarding , then we continued on to the camp where we rode the camel and took more pics then sat for the camp show where they had many different foods to chose from. Overall my fiancé and I had an amazing time and would do it all over again.

This was an incredible experience! Mohammed picked us up at our hotel right on time and proceeded to the Red Dessert, all the while answering our many questions and giving us insight into the amazing Dubai. We were a group of 6 seniors with many mobility problems. I had been concerned that walking long distance on sand would be a problem. Mohammed assured us it would be OK. We first arrived at our ATV adventure. We brought our own scarves so did not have to purchase a scarf and the men gladly helped us all put them on. We then all got onto ATV's : 4 singles and 1 double. We had purchased the Premier Package ( which I highly recommend ) and were told "no extra charge...ride as long as you wish!" After about 1/2 an hour we all were ready for the next adventure...and adventure it was! Mohammed was our dune-bashing driver so off we went for an exhilarating ride over the red sand dunes! He stopped for pictures and made sure we didn't have to walk far. Then off to the iftar feast. Being Ramadan we waited a few minutes before sundown for the wonderful feast. While waiting the 'girls' had henna done. It was then time for a wonderful dinner and following our meal there was a great fire dance show. Due to Ramadan there was no belly dancer, but the show they had was very good. Then when the lines had slowed we all rode camels...a fun experience and held the Falcon. A few of us tried the shisha (waterpipe) just for the experience! Then Mohammed returned us to our hotel, The Grayton. What a wonderful day we had!

Such a fun day out. The quad biking was great except I got told multiple times that my time was up (5 mins in snd then again) which was annoying. The dune bashing was amazing and Abdullah is an excel driver, although we did stop for a substantial amount of time while Abdullah assisted another driver with a flat tyre. It presented us with a photo opportunity on the dunes. Abdullah then turned out to be quite the photographer, giving instructions to change poses, etc, when we stopped a while later for the sand surfing. The BBQ food was abundant and really tasty and the show was good. The fire guy was particularly good. Camel ride, henna painting and shisha were quick but good to try. All up a really good experience.

Our guide for the safari was Mohsin Pathan and made the day truly memorable. From the dune bashing to the dinner everything was perfect. With Mohsin you also got a DJ and a photographer. I know our best pictures from the trip came from the desert safari. Do not miss this!

MUST DO

This desert safari is a MUST DO for anyone visiting Dubai. It is not just an activity, but a truly immersive experience in the desert. The quad bikes (included) is extremely thrilling; there are plenty of steep dunes to get ride across and over, and you are given a lot of freedom (the riding space is plenty large enough). The views of the desert as you drive across the dunes are incredible. The sandboarding is a unique experience that will remind you of sledding, except it’s hot and sunny and there’s no snow! Our guide Kashi was an amazing photographer who took plenty of artistic photos, including a perfect sunset shot. The buffet really hit the spot after a long day, and there are so many different local options to choose from (or choose all of them!). The 3 shows (Egyptian dance, belly dance, fire show) were a beautiful way to end the day. Above all else, getting to meet people from around the world (we had 4 continents represented in our group) was a great way to spend the afternoon/evening. I cannot recommend this excursion enough!
