What To Expect

Begin your Dubai architecture tour with a pickup from your central Dubai hotel. Hop inside your air-conditioned coach or minivan and hear fascinating facts about the space-age city and the futuristic architecture that has become its emblem.

Gaze at the high-rises along the 16-lane Sheikh Zayed Road as you head for Jumeirah, the area of Dubai that has seen the most dramatic architectural development.

Admire the stunning Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a lavish recreation of a traditional Arabian marketplace. Then, snap photos of the spectacular Burj Al-Arab hotel. Rising up from an artificial island off the Jumeirah coast, this gleaming building is designed to resemble a billowing sail, and stands at 1,053 feet (321 meters) tall, making it one of the world’s highest hotels.
Continue to the Palm Jumeirah, the palm-tree-shaped island archipelago where rows of exclusive villas and residential complexes stretch along the man-made ‘fronds’ overlooking the Persian Gulf.
Stop to ogle the mammoth Atlantis The Palm, the archipelago’s architectural showpiece, and then head to Ski Dubai, the first indoor ski resort ever built in the Middle East.
Gawk at the giant ski runs through the glass façade, and continue to the Burj Khalifa, one of the world’s highest buildings. Lean your head back to try and see the needle-shaped top of the tower, located 2,772 feet (828 meters) in the sky.

Lastly, take in a stunning performance of the Dubai Fountain Show on Burj Khalifa Lake. Marvel at the precision choreography of the fountains and jets as they dance in time to Arabic and classical music during the 5-minute show.

Afterward, return to your coach or minivan and end your tour with a hotel drop-off.

  • Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised. Hats are advisable when in direct sunlight.
  • Guests visiting the UAE during the Summer months (June – September) are advised that peak daytime temperatures sometimes reach 42 – 45 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels can also exceed 90 percent during this period. We recommend all our guests to take adequate precaution.
  • The local tour operator reserves the right to cancel any part of the scheduled programs because of government decisions, public holidays, weather conditions, or other similar circumstances.
  • Please note, the tour duration subject to change depending on traffic.The stated tour duration includes pick-up and drop off times.

  • As part of ongoing COVID-19 virus preventative measures, some of the Tourist sites which is included in the given itinerary remain closed, so alternate visits / photo stops will be arranged.

I waited to review this tour in the hopes that the title would be changed in response to other posts. Since it hasn't, I don't feel bad leaving three stars. This is basically a hop on hop off tour of Dubai. There is no information given, no theme of development, just driving between major places in Dubai. It was great getting to so many different locations without paying for a cab. However, don't go into this expecting to learn about Dubai.

Reasonably priced and acts as a good primer for places to revisit if done at the start of your stay. My particular tour had issues with picking up another party from a different hotel meaning we were sat outside the first stop for an hour before the guide showed up. Not great fun with 3 kids in tow!

This tour certainly NOT an architecture tour. Our tour guide was informative but not on architectural buildings. We saw more shopping venues than buildings. There are so many skyscrapers in Dubai that we thought we would learn about but we did not. This tour was more a mere sightseeing tour. How disappointing!

Id definitely recommend that you ditch this tour and go for the big red bus which is slightly more expensive. The tour guide ours was a grumpy gentlemen with a gecko tattoo in his neck has to present in two different languages, which means that you miss out on hearing facts at the appropriate times. Not only this, but the tour is so rushed, that youre only allowed time to take a quick photo before being whisked to the new location i.e. our guide only gave us the bear minimum information, I get the sense that he doesnt love living in Dubai, which was a bit disspointing. Id recommend the big red bus so that you can take time to experience each location properly. Sorry Viator, this ones a fail.

Dreadful - I was really looking forward to this tour to learn more about the history of the iconic buildings but can honestly say that I learned nothing. Our guide was extremely hard to understand and read a few facts from a sheet. Predominantly we spent time in two malls and a small souk. We didn't go for any photos by the Al Berj which I was disappointed about. The tour was a complete waste of time and money - don't do it!

A very informative tour although I thought very rushed. Our guide seemed pushed for time and did manage to lose two of our party. The sights we saw were magnificent with the highlight being The Dancing Fountains Another tour I would recommend.

We were expecting an architecture based tour, with a guide who would inform us about who and how the main buildings were built in Dubai. Though our guide was lovely, he gave us a general tour of Dubai without any emphasis on architecture. There was a mix up with coaches and a fair bit of confusion at the start: pick up taxi, dropped at a roundabout near a hotel, short mini bus ride, joined a big group on a bus then back to roundabout for first stop! All in all, we got to see a lot of the city through bus windows as we sat in rush hour traffic a lot. Taking us to Ski Dubai for a quick photo next to the glass window inside the Mall with 22 others is not an architecture tour.

They whole tour was not well coordinated. The tour was supposed to be from 3 - 8 pm. I got picked up at 3:35. Then we went to another hotel and waited another 45 minutes for another group that never showed. The driver basically drove us to malls and shops. The information he gave was a bunch of numbers that he was reading from a fact sheet - apparently from Wikipedia! He had to keep repeating the same facts to fill space because he didn't have anything else to say. I was very impressed that he spoke German and that he had to repeat everything in both German and English. His Indian accent was very thick and was hard to understand. I give architecture tours in Chicago. I expected a LOT better. Tell me what the buildings say about Dubai and its architectural plan. Does architecture reflect culture? Say something about the amazing feats and firsts in the construction of the Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab. Say something about how the buildings relate to each other. Overall, not worth it.

This tour is value for money by orient tour. The tour guide is great. An drop off at the atlantis for 0.5 hour would be good. Air-con bus is comfortable and driver is on time and helpful. We also joined the private city tour on the 8th jul and the tour guide from sir lanka is excellent and kind.

Contratamos un tour en Español y solo se realizó en Inglés y Alemán. Reclamamos reiteradas veces, el guía habló con la Agencia, y le dijeron que solo lo hiciera en esos idiomas, a pesar de que el guía hablaba español en forma bastante fluida. O sea, que recibimos la información mínima en español, luego de seguir insistiendo y preguntando al guía, ya que habíamos pagado el mismo precio que los demás viajeros. He contratado con Viator en otros países, pero la verdad que los 2 contratados en Dubai, dejaron mucho que desear.
