What To Expect

Start your private 8-hour tour with early morning pickup from your Dubai hotel, or alternatively, from near Dubai cruise port, or a central location in the city.

Then, settle inside your private, air-conditioned vehicle, and soak in the views as you journey through Sharjah into the UAE desert, heading toward the Hajar Mountains. Along the way, listen as your guide shares information about the region, and stop for a stroll in the palm groves of the Al Dhaid Oasis and around a strawberry plantation, discovering how th fruits are cultivated in the arid landscape.

Continue from here to the market at Masafi, where a mass of stalls piled with fresh produce, spices, pottery, carpets, and other goodies attracts locals and visitors alike.

Peruse the wares, and then travel through the picturesque mountains to the port town of Dibba, scenically set overlooking the Gulf of Oman. After admiring the views here, visit Al Bidayah to check out its charmingly simple, mud-built 15th-century mosque, the UAE’s oldest.

Next, drive into Khorfakkan, a seaside town with a sweeping sandy beach, and visit a local restaurant for lunch (own expense). Then, journey south to Fujairah, one of the UAE’s seven emirates, and famous for its delightful mountain-and-beach setting.

Soak in the relaxed pace, and visit Fujairah Fort, an immaculately restored fort perched above the remnants of the original village. Admire the towers and ramparts, and learn how and why the fort was constructed in 1670.

Afterward, hop back in your vehicle for your return journey. Stop along the way to look around a traditional souk, and then finish your tour with a drop-off at the original start point in Dubai.

the most disappointing trip i have ever booked through viator. I have no diea what happened, if the supposed guide we had, was one found on short notice or if he was the usual one. He did not talk at all beyond things like- this is the museum, it is full of...... stuck for words there Earlier we had also been told we were at a museum when it was actually the fort. The mosque was apparently at the top of the hill, when it was actually at the bottom and to the right. We only knew about the villages we passed through as we saw the signs. We certainly did not stop at either of them. We did not stop at a souk on the way back and by that time we weren't caring as we just wanted to be back at our hotel. The guide also 3 times had to ask for directions. no lunch stop either With the right guide this would have been a good tour. Some of the scenery was beautiful. And it was interesting to see beyond the city of Dubai. Whilst i was disappointed with the tour I can say that viator handled the complaint very well. I note that this is a new trip for viator so I hope that my complaint will also result in others having a far better experience.

Based on your concerns, we have contacted our local tour operator to address these concerns with them personally and have received a response from them regarding your review. Saifco Travel and Tourism LLC has responded, stating that the driver is a professional driver and holds a tour guide license. They did claim that he did know the directions but that he called his friend regarding the road map in order to find out easier access to cover souq market in Fujairah since there were new roads being constructed and old roads that were under renovation.
