What To Expect

Meet your private guide at your Dubai hotel and set off by private, air-conditioned vehicle for Al Fahidi, the city's oldest quarter.

Stroll the lanes to see the wind tower houses, and learn how the area was inhabited by Persian merchants during the 1800s. Visit the Coffee Museum to uncover the origins of this age-old beverage, and learn about local coffee-drinking etiquette.

Next, continue to the Al Shindagha neighborhood, where Dubai’s royals settled in the 1900s, and visit Sheik Saeed Al-Maktoum House, once a home of the ruling Al-Maktoum family, and now a museum.

View the artifacts that chart Dubai’s 20th-century history here, and ride an abra across Dubai Creek to Deira’s Gold and Spice souks. After perusing both of these bustling bazaars, look around the Al-Farooq Omar Bin Al-Khattab Mosque, one of Dubai’s most beautiful buildings.

Afterward, see the glitzy yachts and high-rises at Dubai Marina, and visit Dubai Mall, the world’s largest retail mall. Gaze at some of the marine creatures of Dubai Aquarium through the mall viewing windows, and then head for the Burj Khalifa.

Uncredible guide. A phenomebe. 5 hiurs went to 7 hiurs rhe vusits en explabation were wonderfull. Free icecream and snacks posibilities to by interesting things in the soucks. Wonderfull experience

Melwyn is an outstanding guide! He has vast and deep knowledge of Dubai history and culture, economics, society and politics and he conveys this information in superb English and boundless enthusiasm. He makes Dubai fascinating! He has created a tour that shows that there's much more to Dubai than tall buildings, though he did an excellent job of showing me them too, timing our tour to make sure we arrived on site in time to see the LED light show on the world's tallest building and the "better than the Belagio" fountain display. Dubai has an interesting history, and Melwyn ensured that I experienced it--through seeing the Dubai History Museum, original fort/settlement wall, and traditional houses and buildings. The ferry boat ride across "the Creek" and Camel milk ice cream were a special treat--truly Dubai as the locals live. He also knows all the best places for photos! While he has an excellent itinerary planned, he is also extremely accommodating and willing to tailor the tour to your interests in advance or on the spot. His SUV is new and very comfortable; he is an expert driver. I highly recommend him--his tour is definitely great value for money. He will absolutely be in charge of any future trip I make to Dubai.

Dubai ist wirklich atemberaubend. Wir wurden pünktlich wie vereinbart am Hotel abgeholt. Lucy hat uns alles gezeigt was wir sehen wollten und wir haben sogar noch einen Abstecher in die Apotheke gemacht. Ich hatte bereits vorab schon Kontakt mit Lucy um die Rückfahrt zu besprechen. Es war echt der Hammer. Ich bin immer noch am schwärmen. Absolut empfehlenswert.
