Lorcan is absolutely an expert in his field - and his passion for Ireland its history is absolutely palpable. He greets you and learns - then remembers - your name, his varied paths are incredibly detailed, and the International Bar is an amazing place to stop for a drink. You’d be remiss to come to Dublin without learning about the history of the city, and you’re sorely missing out if you’re not including Lorcan’s tour in your schedule.

Ireland has always fascinated me and our guide had the knowledge and the passion to conduct our trip. As someone admiring how Ireland achieved its independence from afar, hearing more of the political history while in their beautiful country was a great experience for me. Our guide was amazing!

We really enjoyed the tour. It was really informative. I had taken the tour 5 years ago, but it was different and I heard a lot of names that I hadn’t heard before this time, so it was life a new experience. The singing was new, unexpected, and brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

I recommend this tour for anyone visiting Dublin. The easter rising being a monumental part of the history of Éire there is no better way to understand it than to walk the streets of Dublin and hear the tale of the uprising from someone as passionate and knowledgable as tour guide Lorcán collins. Given Lorcán has been doing the tours since 1996, the year I was born id expect nothing less than a masterclass on the easter rising. Which when walking away after a couple of fast pasting hours, a masterclass was given. Go raibh míle maith agat.

Our guide for the day, Liam, was excellent! He is an excellent storyteller. The rebellion has a lot of people and key events intertwined but Liam’s descriptions kept it organized and easy to follow. If you are interested in Irish history and politics this is worth it.
