Hi Barbara,
We were very sad to read from your review that you didn't enjoy the tour. I wonder if there was some confusion - our tour, as advertised, is a street food tour. While we talk about traditional food, we bring visitors to places with fun, authentic street food, where you eat like local Dubliners. We also tell stories about the area as we walk.
We have deliberately decided not to take a lobster and champagne approach. We make 5 street food stops: breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and dessert. All of our stops are Irish.
In your review you mentioned we went to an Italian stop. This was Dublin's first chipper, where we recommend goujons of cod in delicious Guinness beer batter. It is not an Italian restaurant, it is named after an Irish Citizen. I'm sorry you didn't understand this part.
On your tour, you also had our favourite Irish desserts; cheesecake made with Baileys, and unique Irish ice cream, made with dairy from a West Kerry cow with unique Irish flavours (such as Sea Salt and Irish Brown Bread). Again, we share high quality local street food, as we mingle.
We have passed your feedback onto the guide, who has only received 5 star reviews up until yours.
We tried to call you to further discuss your experience. Unfortunately that doesn't appear to have been possible. This is a real shame as we wanted to speak to you.
Sláinte, Kevin & Aoife
