my guide shared a 1967 north vietnam documentary that qas eye opening, to see how the war was presented from the other side. tunnel and mekong tours both presented more than i expected. the gun range was a special highlight. it helped that i had a very experienced guide who seemed to know everyone, everywhere. she was very pleasant and helpful.

We really enjoyed our tour and our guide Tommy! He was a wealth of knowledge and the experience was great. It would’ve been helpful to know what to wear and that we could leave things in the van, though. The Mekong Delta portion was a bit of a tourist trap, but it was still pretty interesting. Overall, I’d recommend it, but once you do it once, you won’t need to do it again.

I found this to be a very long day with lots of stops that weren’t mentioned on the website and weren’t necessary with the intention of getting you to spend more money. For example they stopped at an art centre for disabled people under the guise of you learning how disabled people are supported but really it was to show the art and get you to buy stuff (which is available on most market stalls), a stop to listen to music which we were advised we should tip, a stop for honey tea where they immediately brought out products for us to buy. The row boat was nice but we were told we should tip because the people rowing don’t get paid much - if that’s the case then the company should pay them more, we shouldn’t be expected to pay twice. The cu chi tunnels was a highlight but when we got to the small one which small people could have a go in, the guide repeatedly said loudly “not you not you not you” even though I was nowhere near it and showed no interest in trying it, it was not necessary to embarrass me for being too big to fit. I know some people who took a grab taxi to and from the tunnels so with hindsight might have done this instead.

A full day with lots to see and learn. Well worth the trip but just be sure to allow the full day (11-12 hours) to account for travel time and traffic. Our tour guide was great and very generous of his time and knowledge.

My partner and I went on this tour yesterday and had a great time. Our tour guide Lam was brilliant, very knowledgeable, funny and passionate about his job. Our driver Mr P was a safe driver. The cu chi tunnels were busy but Lam made sure to navigate us to the not so busy areas. The drive between the tunnels and the Mekong delta river is quite far so you do spend a lot of time travelling but this is not a problem if you want to see the two on the same day. The Mekong delta river tour was fun, really enjoyed the small row boat experience. The honey farm, candy factory and the singing ladies was not really necessary to see, more time on the river and in the tunnels would have been better. However there was no pressure to buy anything from these places.

Good trip to take if you have just a short stay in Ho Chi Minh. Quite a lot to fit in but worth it to see everything

Highly recommend this trip! The cu chi tunnels part of the tour felt abit rushed but it’s understandable as there is lots to see and it’s very busy there. Our guide Honda was very knowledgeable and friendly. The second half of the trip was very interesting seeing unicorn island. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

This tour was one of my favourite points for my first visit to Vietnam. I had Thanh, aka Tim as my tour guide with a group of 7 other lovely travellers. Not only was Tim very well informed about everything one could possibly want to know about Vietnam, its people and its history, but he gave us a well planned out tour that allowed us all to experience Cu Chi and the Mekong in an unforgettable way. I’ve used tour guides in every new country I’ve visited and will recommend Tim’s passion and service highly. He navigated the heat, the distance, my fussiness, our curiosity with humour, knowledge and finesse. Well done Kim Travel for picking such a lovely tour guide. I hope to return to Vietnam many times over and will doubtless be coming back to KT for the experience Tim has afforded me, a young solo travelling female with limited (high school history) knowledge of Vietnam.

Our guide, Lockie, was absolutely amazing. He was so funny, engaging, interesting and he provided us with some great information about the Vietnam war and modern Vietnam history and politics. He is very knowledgeable. He is also a fantastic singer and actor as he sang us many karaoke songs on the car 😂😂🤠 As for the tunnels, they are a lot of fun and very interesting. You can engage with the Vietnam war history on a much deeper level. The tunnel is a bit scary and claustrophobic but it's an exhilarating experience. The river tour is also very beautiful and we stopped off at the island and saw some of the local crafts. Really great tour, would recommend - but make sure you ask for the guide Lockie because he is amazing and he made the experience very special for us 🤠❤️

King day but very worthwhile

A full days tour that is tiring. The travel time is lengthy when combined with the Mekong Delta, but worthwhile to see the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta in a day when you are tight for time. Our guide (Tom), ensured we were kept on time and attended to our every need. He was very knowledgeable with a good level of English, which was easily understood. Thanks for a great day.

Kelvin was an amazing tour guide. He provides a lot of history during the tour, and makes sure everyone is taken care of. He’s playful and a good time, even singing karaoke on our boat ride. The Tunnels and the Delta were both amazing to experience. Highly recommended for first time visitors.

Not what I paid for

1. I paid for high end bus with max 11. Ppl. Was supposed to be usb good recliner chairs 2. I got a old bus with closer to 25/30. No usb, no recliner feature. 3. It was supposed to be around 10 hours. It was almost 15. 4. The Cu Chi tunnels was ofcorse worth seeing and made a big impact. 5. The ride on the river was just right over the river to an island (that had a bridge) to a small fasility with fruits and some locals singing Do not get me wrong, they did their part. It was just two hours drive from the cu Chi tunnels to the river. And then a new two++ hours to the HCMC. So to summarize. I paid for more then I got, I don't like beeing tricked. That is not the guide or the activity on the rides fault. So don't mix these two please. The tunnels I recommend 100%. Don't pay extra for a 9-11 max, over half of the bus thought they got the same deal as me. Would I do this trip again? Yes but only on a exclusive ride with proper seats. I have back issues and that was the main reason I paid extra. So sitting on unajustable seats ruined the following days for me. The guide was full of knowledge, the tunnels and the locals singing did well. So no shame on them. Just the backdrop of what I booked vs. What I got that really did not sit well with me.
