Our pearl harbour day tour of duty

Pearl harbour was a bucket list to do. Can now tick that box. Our tour guide is a ex army man with very loud voice. At pick up I was chastised for bringing a backpack. I said I intended to leave my bag in his mini bus. He said that was not allowed. I said it stated in the terms that bags are not allowed in pearl harbour. You can pay $10 U.S. storage fee there. Also it said that tho there are security cameras in the parking areas where his mini bus was parked, it was recommended not to leave things of value inside the bus. So to me that inferred that you leave items on the bus at your own risk? I showed him this statement and he said I miss read what it meant. So he still refused to let me and two other couples leave our bags in his bus. So therefore, we had to pay $10 for storage fees each. His knowledge of what he knows about pearl harbour and Honolulu was top class and all of this was told during the bus ride. But once at pearl harbour and the aircraft museum we were told where to go and what to do and that was it, we were then left to our own devices and given times that we had to be back at our bus. So in short, you could maybe uber it there or even bus it there and save yourself a lot of money and also have a lot more time to explore at times of your choosing.

Very well organized tours. The boat trip to the Arizona was very orderly. The presentation b y the ranger prior to the trip to the Arianna was informative and heart-felt. The presentation by our Missouri tour (Lani?) showed her passion for WW2 history. It was both informative and entertaining.

Awesome experience for anyone that is into U.S. history. The complete tour was well worth it. Try not to fall for the pearl jewelry unless you plan on cashing out for jewelry.

Did the job, No frills tour

Dropped off at the pearl harbour car park, Made our own way around the site which was fine but noticed alot of the other tour groups were being driven around from site to site... reason being is that the tour operator went off to make airport pick ups and drop offs. It would be worthwhile finding out of the tour guide actually stays with you at pearl harbour and drives the group around the base its self.

Make your own arrangements and take a local bus to Pearl

The Pearl Harbor tours were wonderful. The pick up was supposed to be 7:00am, then 5:00, then 6:00 am after I was already up at 4:45am. Our driver was decidedly anti US Understandedly so but I didn't really appreciate it. The driving around part afterward was not necessary. I would skip the ride to Pearl and take a local bus in the future. You are only paying for a ride and admission not really a tour.

Needed more time

We were supposed to be picked up at 6:30am so we arrived at pick location at 6:20am. Our tour guide did not arrive until 7:10am. Also, we anticipated spending the entire day at Pearl Harbor as this tour was titled the complete Pearl Harbor experience. However, we had to be back at the tour bus at 2:30. It just wasn’t enough time to do everything Pearl Harbor had to offer. Knowing what I know now, I would not get a tour next time and just purchase everything on my own. We would have gotten more time at Pearl Harbor and it would have been less expensive.

Yes we had to switch drivers last minute on Sunday as our original driver was ill so we do apologize about that. Typically our anchor time to be back at the bus is 3pm then we do a Historic City Tour to return to the Waikiki Hotels by 4pm. I will consult with our staff to seek a possible solution since we are now picking up at hotels outside of Waikiki. Thanks

Misleading as far as what is included.

While the Pearl Harbor experience is very moving, this tour is completely misleading. There is no breakfast or lunch, apparently discontinued during COVID 4 years ago but website has not been updated. Our guide was very knowledgeable during drive but we were on our own once at Pearl Harbor..

Jorge the driver was great, very knowledgeable about the area. Tour, not so great. Got dropped off at the front gate, told Go here, go here, do this do this, be back here at 3:00 p.m. Turns out our tour company was not allowed on the base. Paid a fair amount of $$, could have done the same thing just driving up to the front gate myself. Driving tour of Honolulu was ok, not almost $400 ok though.

Don't Do It

It is NOT what is advertised. It is not a tour at all of Pearl Harbour. You are simply dropped off and left on your own to do it all. Other tour companies charged $59 and we paid $175 and felt totally ripped off. The driver talked about Honolulu on the way, after we waited at out stop to be picked up from 5:45 a.m. until 6:30 a.m., and on the way back (after we were totally exhaused from the day), with a brief stop at King Kamehameha's monument. He was nice enough but there was no "tour" of Pearl Harbor and everyone on our bus felt the same way.

Pearl Harbor was great! Museums were wonderful! Wasn’t that crowded and a beautiful day. Driver gave a lot of narration but with little emotion. He was reliable in getting us there and back and gave a short driving tour of the Punchbowl Crater and stopped at the Government Building to allow us to take a few pictures. There were only five on the tour.

Nice tour. We did the full passport all day tour. Our driver (I’m sorry, his name escapes me, but he lived in nyc for a while) was great! Would give 5 stars if the bus was cleaner and we had access to seatbelts that were hidden under seat covers.

Great way to see alot in one day. Well organized and simplifies all the tickets and transportation. Tour driver does amazing job of presenting the history and the area. Only warning is it's a long day and tiring. Lots of walking and standing at the different locations. So if you're physically limited you may want to find more specific to site tours. Basically break it up. We are fairly fit and it was a lot. Not a ding on tour operator, just a warning. Again great day!!!

Everything at the harbor was amazing plenty of time to do everything just had bad experience with shuttle/driver to and from the experience wouldnt stop me from recommending the experience. We did the complete tour it is for the most part self guided but plenty of on site tour guides/headset info where available
