Arizona memorial tour

The Arizona Memorial and visitor center which is really the only place I've visited. The directions to follow during the tour were complicated. The bus picked me up at my hotel, approximately two hours prior to the reservation at the Arizona memorial, which did not give me an opportunity to have breakfast prior to the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, but very difficult to understand with a very strong accent. This is a tour that you make what you wish out of it.

Don't believe anything promised or said by Viator

Came into town on Carnival Cruise. Told them the ship wasn't to arrive until 9am. Was told by email that driver would be on pier to pick up at 9-9:30 of which driver decided on day of pickup to arrive at 7am. Ship wasn't even there. Asked of refund and was refused. Asked Viator why would I book an excursion TWO HOURS BEFORE ship was to arrive, and basically was ghosted on reply. Said I should have contacted driver who sent a phone message and text (we are at sea with no cell service) and should have responded. Driver ended up leaving with NO MESSAGE that he left. He arrived at port at 7am to empty dock, why arrive when I told them ship wasn't expected until 9am?? Company doesn't care about customers, only $$$!!! I have numerous emails asking about pickup time and also stating the ships time, and was told "not to worry, driver will wait".

Viator was very confusing and gave us wrong information. Aloha Sunshine was great and corrected their errors. The tour itself went well. Not spectacular.

While the Arizona...

While the Arizona memorial and the USS Missouri were amazing the driver for the tour operator was not! First off he was 25 mins late in picking us up and then we had listen him drone on and on about a lot of things that no one would care about on a tour like this, he was definitely not the most safe driver either. He made us stand there at the drop off at the memorial and listen to him for a good while before he would hand us our tickets. Literally 4 other tours arrived and all those people left to go to the memorial before we could be released. On the way back he was driving and pointing at a map with a stick and swerving in the lane making my wife feel very unsafe. This gets a 1 star review for the driver and his inability to drive safe.

Pearl Harbor was so worth seeing, and not having to stand in a standby line of hundreds of people, but having guaranteed tickets made this a worthwhile choice. Kenosha picked us up promptly at the cruise terminal. After Pearl Harbor we got a narrated tour and she was fantastic. Money very well spent. I feel the value for our dollars exceeded what we paid. Thank you!

Bus Driver lost Bus keys on return to our day and we had to sit in hot bus until she found them Stopped and let people walk around when we presumed we would be going straight back to hotel

Disgraceful

We have had this tour booked for 6 weeks. 9 am pick up from our hotel. The pleasure and anticipation was quickly snuffed out by Aloha Sunshine Tour's. The afternoon before we received a message from them to say the pickup time was 6 am and from another location well away from our hotel. I rang to enquire about the changes and encountered a very rude and aggressive operator. I questioned why they could not pick us up from the hotel since Viator had confirmed the booking location and time. He rudely stated it was not his problem that Viator does not know how things work in Hawaii and we should have booked directly with Aloha Sunshine Tour's. There was no negotiation or apology beyond this point. He insisted the tour be cancelled despite our protests. He aggressively stated that he was cancelling the tour immediately and sent a text advising of this and that a refund was due. We respectfully ask Viator to follow up as the money paid has not been returned at the time of writing this. I would also question your future involvement with this company as it is clear they do not respect your business. So far we have found Viator to be excellent as our other arrangements have run smoothly. I await a reply from you. Best wishes from Gary Arthur.

Unfortunately my experience was very poor, the driver as nice as she was, she was an hour late to pick me up and then I had to wait another hour and a half to be be picked up again at the Memorial. Very disappointed Teresa K

Pearl Harbor is a must see!

Rick was our driver and picked us up at our hotel on time. On the way to Pearl Harbor, he told us the history of Pearl Harbor the the events leading up to the day it was attacked. He pointed out locations and gave info on those spots. When we got to Pearl Harbor, he told us what to expect and gave us water bottles to take inside with us. We had more than enough time to go to the memorial and walk through the museums. After, Rick took us around downtown and gave us the history of the Royal Monarchary that once ruled over the island. He was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed this tour.

It's a you should take. It's a bit how all those soldiers died. And to be walking over their graves. The movie really tells it all. I think they should have you watch the movie first.
