Really interesting tour, with a great, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable tour guide! All the spots contributed to a good new understanding of South African history, all topics which are important to discover. The food in Soweto was also extremely tasty! :)

Awesome Tour

This tour was well planned and executed by our tour guide, Clement. He's intimately knowledgeable about the history of Johannesburg. Because he has lived in the area during and after the Apartheid Era, he was able to paint a realistic picture depicting the good, the bad, and the ugly. The gentleman who presented the segment about life if detainees at Constitution Hill was a great addition to the tour. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an amazing tour. Our guide Clement was thee best! We learned so much and it’s great having someone from the community who lived through the atrocities of Apartheid give the background information. I highly recommend this tour. I went with my adult son and it was a great history lesson for him as well.

Clement was a wonderful guide, and the day was well-spent learning and seeing so much. This tour gives the opportunity to see the main highlights of Johannesburg and Soweto in a very safe, organized way. It was exactly what we wanted!’ The tour van was also comfortable and cool on a warm day. Our lunch stop in Soweto was pleasant with a nice buffet for a good price.

Great introduction to Johannesburg and the sites that were central to the eventful history of the city and of neighbouring Soweto. The Apartheid museum was the highlight of the tour. But need more than two hours to take it all in. Nathi was friendly and accommodating. A+

Tour guide was probably one of the most knowledgeable tour guides I’ve ever had. He knew every thing about Johannesburg there was to know! Which made for a very knowledge heavy day but it was very nice considering I only was in the city for 2 days. I appreciated being able to explore soweto and the mandela house and the apartheid museum all in one day

We had read about Mandela and were interested in visiting all the places that he had spent his life. We chose this because it was so well rated, but were disappointed that our guide often started before everyone had gathered, was a little hard to understand, and it felt rushed. It also turned out to be longer than advertised because of all the pick ups and the distance between them. I think we were picked up at 8:30 and home at 7:00.

Hello James, thank you very much for your feedback but if your hotel is around international airport which is about 40mins drive to town, you should be expecting something like that because of traffic and we can't do anything about traffic, and remember our company is one of the company in Johannesburg that pick all our clients up from their hotels and some company's don't offer that they will rather ask you to use Uber and meet them at meet up point because of the distance but we are here to offer our best always Your guide started before everyone gathered is because you weren't concentrated. Amazing tour. Amazing guide (April 2). Very difficult to intake the horrors Black people had to live with during Apartheid. Especially during these time, everybody should see what can happen if some people abuse the system / power. We’re all humans. Fight racism and hate.

The whole day was eventful, it was well thought out, starting the tour with Constitutional Hill, followed by a tour through the center of Johannesburg and ending with a museum visit, where you again get a broader understanding of South Africa during the apartheid period. In addition, being in Soweto is a wonderful experience in itself. And seeing Nelson and Winnie Mandela's house is an unforgettable experience.
