With an admission ticket to the Harry S. Truman Little White House, relive the storied past of this unique private naval based turned retreat turned public museum. Guided tours begin every 20 minutes with a knowledgeable historian guide.

What is the Harry S. Truman Little White House? It first served as the naval station’s command headquarters for three wars: the Spanish-American War, World War I and World War II. Then in 1946, the building became the winter White House of President Harry S. Truman. In fact, he stayed here for 175 days during his presidency.

Today, the Harry S. Truman Little White House is a thriving, public museum as well as a retreat and place of government business for our nation's leaders.

Learn about the comings and goings of this unique house since it was built in 1890 — including the events of the Spanish-American War plus World War I and World War II. Discover the many presidents who visited and stayed here, like William Taft, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton — and Truman, of course.

Our guided tour through the Truman White House was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable & humorous. The collection in the house was unique. It was like a snap shot of history. Well worth seeing. .

We didn't know what to expect coming from the UK to what we'd see there. However, the house really well preserved with most of the original features of 1940/50 life along with a great historical story. Greg M a great tour guide a well spent hour.

The house has been restored to what it looks like in around 1949. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. Greg M, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. This is a short tour lasting about 30 minutes, but interesting. The surrounding neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous!

Went with friend in wheelchair and no access to second story of Truman White House. You only get to see the whole house with a guided tour. Self tour only get to see 2 rooms. Would like money back for one ticket.
