Hong Islands Day Tour and 360 Viewpoint by Longtail Boat From Krabi

I really enjoyed this trip. I was picked up around 8am, which isn't too early in comparison to other trips I've been on. We were taken to the pier to catch the boat and whilst we were waiting we were all given free drinks and snacks (tea/coffee/chocolate, sweets, cakes) which was really nice. We stopped off at a number of bays so that we could go snorkeling, and although I didn't get in, it was a good opportunity for photos. When we arrived at Hong Island we were all given lunch, and I was really surprised when they gave me a vegetarian meal. I've been on other trips and really struggled to find a veggie option other than salad or chips. The meal they gave me was sweet and sour tofu with rice, which is one of my favourite dishes. We were also given fresh watermelon and pineapple slices. After that we were free to explore the island on our own for a few hours. The beach here is absolutely stunning and there are plenty of areas where you can shade from the sun. The 360 viewpoint is up a really steep mountain with around 400 steps to the top. It was a struggle with the heat, but it was totally worth it to see the stunning views of the other islands around the Andaman Sea. If you decide to climb it, I recommend wearing trainers rather than flip flops or sandals as the steps are really narrow and easy to trip. There is a nature trail which goes around in a loop, although the only wildlife I saw was a monitor lizard. There is a nice little cafe on the beach that do amazing ice fruit smoothies at a very reasonable price, although they do tea/coffee and snacks too.
