This the worst tour ever and it’s not worth spending $181 dollars per two. You hardly will see sloth. It’s too expensive… I will skip this tour

Our sloth guide Harold was very knowledgeable and kind. Seeing a sloth up close in its natural habitat was exciting. Lots of wildlife was spotted, owls, birds, bats, etc. The coffee, sugarcane, chocolate experience was outstanding! Josef's knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious! Lots of tasting of coffee, fresh, sugarcane juice, and chocolate goodies! Make sure you know where your going it's on main highway in LaFortuna, not downtown. Enjoy!

I learned more about coffee here than I had at a huge coffee plantation. Coffee and chocolate experience 5 star!! The guide for the sloth tour was amazing and found so many. We LOVED this experience!

We had a great time on this tour with Milton. We enjoyed getting to know about the history of Costa Rican coffee and chocolate. We were able to actually grind the coffee beans and chocolate that we were going to taste. The stalls where we drank the coffee and ate chocolate were very clean and Milton was cleaning up after us very thoroughly. The sloth tour was awesome as well. We were lucky enough to see a mother sloth interacting with her baby. I'd highly recommend this tour in La Fortuna!

We were a little concerned when we booked the tour, because we didn't have a car, and transport from local hotels was not included. But it was fine - La Fortuna is very walkable, and it was only about a mile. The coffee and chocolate tour was first, led by Josef(?). He was very knowledgeable and provided a thorough description of both, along with tasty samples. We had a different guide for the sloth tour, where we saw both 2-toed and 3-toed, as well as an owl and two types of poisonous frogs, various birds, ants, termites, spiders and more. We were very happy with this tour.

The tour itself was great. Booking through Viator was not worth it. When we showed up to the meeting spot there was no one there. When the next door store went and found the check in guy he looked stoned. Couldn't stay awake while sitting in the chair to check us in. The bus was very late and then when we were done they didn't have a bus and said they would work to find one for us. We ended up just walking back to our hotel.
I would definitely recommend doing the sloth coffee and chocolate however booking it here is a waste.

Sergio showed us amazing animals, and reptiles, and birds - oh my! (Yes including sloths) Plus so many fascinating facts. But to my surprise the Coffee & Chocolate tour was just as much fun and maybe even more fascinating thanks to Randy! To learn so much about things you've thoroughly enjoyed yet taken for granted for most of your life is amazing. We really enjoyed the day, and the samples were delicious (I had three cups of coffee and one of cocoa)!

We had the best time with Joseph for the coffee, chocolate and sugar cane part of the tour. His energy and passion to educate as well as entertain made this one of our best CR experiences! I highly recommend both aspects of this tour. It was lovely to walk thru the park and our guide was knowledgeable about all of the wildlife as well as the flora and fauna! Well worth the money!
