Meet your guide directly at Don Juan Arenal to follow the paved and covered coffee and chocolate outdoor trail. Begin by delving into the history and production of coffee, with a one-hour guided tour that follows the journey from coffee bean to a steaming cup of java. Then continue on for the one-hour chocolate tour, following the production of chocolate from bean to bar, including a hands-on chocolate bean grinding experience. Spot native wildlife along the way and cap off your coffee and chocolate tour with a chocolate tasting, including samples of dark, milk, and white chocolate.

This was an amazing tour thanks to our guide, Yen. He went above and beyond to explain the chocolate and coffee manufacturing process, answered all the questions we had, interacted so well with our kids, and even let my wife try all the various fruits that grow on the plantation, which wasn’t even part of the tour itself. We all had a fantastic time, learned a lot, know so much more about all the coffee we drink, and left with some awesome treats.

This is a great tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with a tremendous amount of background information. Then, to be able to see the process of coffee and chocolate production from the plant to product, and to be actively involved in it, was truly fun and fascinating. Great tour! A ‘not to miss’ one

What an amazing experience this was! Very educational and fun all wrapped into 1. Our guide was wonderful and super knowledgeable about the whole process of growing the beans to making coffee and chocolate. It will definitely make you appreciate each cup of coffee you drink or chocolate bar you eat. Highly recommend this.

This was one of the best and most informative tours! You also got to see other species of fruit trees, and some nature watching. Yen was a great guide and answered all our questions. Well worth the time and money.

Everything I expected and wanted out of a coffee + chocolate tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable not only about the product but about the local flora and fauna as well. We had a great time tasting fresh coffee and chocolate.
