What To Expect

Your tour begins with pickup from your Las Vegas hotel (select hotels only). It’s about a 45-minute drive to Red Rock Stables, and your driver-guide will entertain you along the way with an introduction to the region’s history and natural wonders.

On arrival at the stables, you’ll meet the wranglers, who will match you with a suitable horse, depending on your riding experience. You’ll receive a brief lesson to learn the basics of riding and safety techniques (for beginners) or to get to know your horse (for more experienced riders), and once you’re feeling comfortable, you’ll set out on a scenic 2-hour ride.

Enjoy riding through the rugged landscapes of the Red Rock Canyon, stopping along the way to take in the desert views and learn more about the region’s native plants and wildlife.

Your tour ends back at the ranch, where you’ll be transferred back to your Las Vegas hotel.

Looking for an amazing view of the canyon? THIS IS IT! Guides are super friendly and knowledgeable. Horses are wonderful while leading you to the top of the mountain and through the canyon for spectacular views of the surrounding area. If you’re a nature lover and want to experience the true beauty of NV this is highly recommended.

Horsing Around Outside of Vegas

Wanted to get of the Vegas Strip and enjoy nature. Cowboy Trail Rides was the perfect outfitter with a guided trail ride in the Vegas "backcountry." We rode about for a few hours and enjoyed beautiful scenery from atop the mountains. Thank you Rangers, for a well organized experience and a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. They couldn’t pick us up at our hotel so we had to walk 20 minutes to the pick up point. No instruction when we got off the bus. Toilets were terribly filthy and didn’t flush.One of the trail guides gave a lot of details and information, but no one could hear it except for the first two or three riders. Most of the staff was friendly, but for the price and the short ride, I expected a lot more.

They did not allow us in the bus; they had oversold and they didn’t had horses for us. All this after paying and confirming in advance. Please give us our money back, you keep sending feedback surveys and don’t answer our request for money back. A true scam

A nice ride in the sun !!! We enjoyed ourselves..a nice relaxing ride thru the canyon.. you don't need to b experienced rider to be on this excursion.. horses and mules know what 2 do... we had to put a coat on as it's a little chili up on top with the wind ( 27th December) ..thank u 4 a great time

Not your typical Vegas experience

Had a great experience during our 2 hr ride. It was extremely windy the day we went but other than that, it was great. The horses and mules were calm and pleasant. Our lead wrangler Cat was great, the other one Hailey must of been having a rough day, she was t rude but just wasn’t very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you want an easy ride in a beautiful scenic location.

My friend and I took this two hour ride through Red Rock and it was fantastic. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. The scenery on the ride itself was absolutely gorgeous! We were a small group, so they took their time with us and even went above and beyond by taking the long way back. The horses/mules were well taken care of and behaved perfectly. Some of this trail was a little rough up and down hill, over rocks. They took their time and assured everyone was safe. They stopped at a place to take everyone's pictures on the horses with the beautiful scenery in the background. I couldn't possibly be more pleased with this experience. I will absolutely book again next time I am in town. Thank you so much, Cowboy Trail Rides, for the wonderful experience.

Great activity to not feel like you're in Vegas

As someone who has never been on a horse before it was quite the experience. My horse was such a good boy and really made me feel safe. The ride itself was A LOT more adventurous then I expected haha. Not in a bad way I had just seen other reviews saying it was not and I'd disagree. You clim quite high and there are several points where you are inches from the side. That being said I had full confidence in my horse, but if your afraid of heights it's something to consider. The 2 hrs was about all my boots could handle be prepared for your sit bones ankes and legs to be tender if you are not a rider. Over all beautiful scenery, you get your money's worth for length of ride and pick up. It was a great activity to do to get out of the normal vegas vibes.
