The London Eye Pier is located directly underneath the London Eye, the ‘Boat ticket sales and entrance’ is on the right hand-side. Please do not queue at the ticket office as you have already pre-booked tickets, head straight down onto the floating pontoon towards Boarding Gate One.

What To Expect

Select a start time convenient to you and then make your own way to the London Eye Pier in central London. Greet your expert guide and skipper, don a waterproof lifejacket and listen to a short safety briefing before stepping on board your modern speedboat.

Feel your excitement heighten as the boat’s engine roars into life and propels you toward iconic London landmarks like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Gaze at the sharp spire of the Shard as you reach speeds of up to 35 miles (56 km) per hour.

Listen to fascinating commentary during slower periods of sailing and glide under the monumental Tower Bridge as your skipper yanks back the throttle and accelerates to high-velocity speeds. Gasp as your skipper performs break-neck turns and wave jumps, and then catch your breath during a brief interlude at Canary Wharf.

Enjoy a leisurely cruise back to the boat’s original departure point and capture photographs of legendary sites during the return sail.

We really enjoyed this trip on the Thames. The crew were really helpful and made the trip fun and informative. The boat was really fast and so much better than being on a normal boat sight seeing trip. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something that bit different

Great welcome and safety brief, employees all very professional and very good sense of humour. Interesting facts pointed out during tour of the Thames. Safe qualified captain (Jeff) and the host Bill was very amusing and kept the tour fun at all times. This was the best thing we did all weekend. Highly recommended! Good job guys and thanks!

Exhilarating Experience

This was an exhilarating experience. It started out with an overview by our guide, Sophie of the history of the bulidings lining the Thames, with some witty comments that made us all laugh. Phil, the driver, then took us for a thrilling hair-blowing ride with a few sharp turns, to my kids' delight. I would recommend this to anyone who want to experience some fun and excitement while sightseeing.

Jeff looked after us at the pier, helped us with jackets etc and kept us entertained until our time slot. On board Tom treated us to a ‘white knuckle’ experience along the river whilst Jack was a fab host and tour guide! Well done everyone-great experience that we’ll do again!

Fun, thrilling, informative! We have two teens and it was one of the highlights of our visit to London.. This is a mix of a history tour and a high speed race! We smiled the whole time. Highly recommend.

Racing down the Thames!

We had so much fun with Thames Rockets even though it rained on us for part of our boat ride. They made sure to call us when our departure time was moved up as well as send us a courtesy e-mail to make sure we didn't miss it. They had some extra jackets for those of us not quite dressed warmly enough in March, like my son and I. Prepare to get a little wet! After we'd passed under London bridge, our skipper John really pushed the throttle and we raced down the Thames to some amazing music including "London Calling" by the Clash and some James Bond Music. Great fun! After we'd gone back under the bridge and slowed our pace, our tour guide, Josh, made sure to give us some tidbits about the sights we were passing. I highly recommend this activity for a wonderful start or end to your journey to London.

It was great to see London from the river, giving a completely different perspective. We were booked for 3.00, but were advised by phone that the weather was clearing later and were rebooked on the 5.00, when it wasn’t raining. Great customer service. Our 10 year old son loved it when the boat accelerated.

Stacey was so knowledgeable, i learned so much! The whole crew were friendly and a pleasure to be with. I usually hate these tours and awful attempts at humor but Stacey was hilarious and properly made me laugh. The high speed ride was awesome! So much fun and the music made it even more fun and enjoyable. Great with kids! My 11 year old laughed his head off and went home telling everyone what he had learned from the tour! Amazing experience 10/10 would definitely recommend this. Thank you Thames Rockets!!! We will be back

From start to finish this was just FUN. The team was friendly, inviting and looked like they were all having a great time. Our guide, Jack, was funny, engaging and knowledgeable. Riding the Thames in a high speed boat was just FUN. Even in December. Even in the rain. If you have a chance, book this adventure . The kids , 15 and 13 years old , loved it. So did this mom :)
