Cool to see Prime Meridan
Rita_H, Apr 2024
We really liked seeing the Prime Meridan, but the walk up to the observatory was way longer than we knew about. Also, there was an area closed off and we didn't know until we walked that direction and then had to walk even further to get up the hill.
The. Lock always show correct tome

It is very interesting, we always knew Greenwich time but didn’t know the meaning, lots of hated wirk make the word goes on factually
Well worth a visit and especially to admire the view
Angela_B, Feb 2024
The views from the observatory over London are utterly uncomparable and well worth the walk up. An interesting museum even though I knew nothing about it before the visit apart from the meridian being there. Certainly a good place to spend a couple of hours.
Must visit for solo, couples & families

When I returned I will bring my family and will need to spend an entire day. Learnt so much. Was so awesome to stand on the prime Meridian
A long walk
Anthony_J, Oct 2023
It was as expected however it’s a long walk up hill to reach it. My wife had a hard time getting up there and down.
Not what I expected.

When I saw the word Observatory I assumed that the PIanitarium was included but this tour is just to see the museum that explains about how measuring time occurred. It's interesting but really quite limited. For those for whom mobility is an issue the Observatory is at the top of a very steep hill and there are quite a few stairs when you get there. It really isn't wheelchair friendly and there is only one small lift outside that covers one set of about 5 stairs. Internally, there are no lifts at all. I was really quite disappointed. Having said that the views from the top of the hill were impressive and the staff were lovely.
Fantastically historic and beautiful

I enjoyed being at the Prime Meridian line and seeing the view. You need to really be interested in the Royal Observatory and it’s history to enjoy it.
Won't be back until they install a lift in place of that too.
William_M, Jul 2023
too far to walk for anyone over 50, not remotely handicap accessible, no real guide, not well laid out, poor use of your time, everything here can be seen better and easier on the internet.
Excellent for a fair weather
Ronald_P, Jul 2023
Excellent tour, but it was a bit spoiled by the rain. The tour is amazing, but for a sunny or cloudy day, not a rainy one. There's a lot to walk outdoors, what doesn't go well with rain.
Just as expected

Good to see prime meridian. Everything was smooth.. Encountered only 2 slight inconveniences. They didn’t have a scanner to scan the Viator voucher, and second, it’s not the easiest place to get to. Even with google/Apple Maps, there was significant confusion. Difficult to get Uber to pick us up.
Step back In time to understand time

So much ingot and history. The audio tour was great. Also very worthwhile is the planetarium. Allow at least 1.5 to 2 hours. Also beautiful parkland adjoining.
Amazing Adventure

Science in Action
Deborah_W, May 2023
I enjoyed taking and sharing photos of me standing on the prime meridian at O degrees longitude. I was a former middle school math and science teacher and this was a "very real experience" to share with folks back home in the USA.
Must do
Ludivine_M, May 2023
We had a lovely time visiting the Observatory and the meridian line. The views are fantastic and thanks to the weather we got to enjoy the park as well. Great experience for all
Clock lecture
Edward_A, Dec 2022
Lecture on Mr Harrison’s longitude clock. Excellent!!! Intimate. Easy to have dialogue with lecturer.
Lots to learn and enjoyable
Andrew_B, Dec 2022
Detailed history of observatory and navigation. The Harrison clock’s. The staff were helpful and friendly. Now know what an exciting story solving the problem of longitude was.
Good day out !

Daniel_C, Apr 2022
I felt like I came to see the centre of the Earth ! I was a bit sad because I didn't see the capital of my country written on that Meridian Line ! :(.....
Worthwhile Adventure

Beautiful views, interesting exhibits, actual telescopes and Prime Meridian. Travel from the City was easy by underground and rail.
