Cemetery for the Royals!

My hubs & I had a lovely time exploring & learning about Westminster Abbey. We didn’t realized that it was mainly a cemetery for the former royals, but enjoyed our time within. The history is consuming & impressive!

Don’t book with Viator or Evan Evans Tours. They require you to PRINT OUT THE TICKET after you have purchased it. Buy direct from Westminster Abbey website. and go straight in. I had to visit their office to print out the ticket and then queue to get in the Abbey. What’s the point of buying this ticket???

Entry ticket and audio only

This was not our first choice of tours for Westminster Abbey and it was ok. It was entry into the Abbey and an audio tour which meant not standing in a long line to get tickets. I suggest comparing the price but the lines are very long so purchasing this way might be worth it. I would have enjoyed a little more detail from a tour guide but if you are with kiddos, a tour guide might drag it out. Just walking the entire audio tour took about 2 hours. But it is an amazing must see.

The Abby was breathtaking!!! The audio tour was perfect. It was also nice to be able to ask questions from the local volunteers. Several were so knowledgeable they were able to share stories not on the audio tour.

Wonderful Abbey Tour - do on your own!

Westminister Abbey itself is just unbelievable, fascinating, stunning and the history of it phenominal; however, what I didn't like is lack of instructions for the tour. We signed up through Viator, were issued tickets, then on the ticket it says to print. If you're staying at a hotel, how am I going to print a ticket! When I emailed them to ask if the e-ticket was enough I was told unfortunately no, it must be printed! The hassle through the hotel desk to have them print it was stressful. Then nothing says no one will be meeting you, you are on your own so we frantically were running around the church entrances looking for the tour guide with a flag. Long story short, just go to the Abbey yourself and purchase tickets there. It will be a lot less stressful!
