A new riding experience

This was a lot of fun. The electric bike is easy to operate and makes the hills on the loop easy to tackle. The journey takes you out of town through the suburbs and to the lakeside, then back along the lake and through some nice neighborhoods. The person pedaling definitely does all the work, but it’s not challenging with the battery support. Our guide Anthony was in great form and made our morning fun.

First, Roberto was excellent. He was very prompt and prepared. Explained every aspect of using the bike. Very fluent in English. Bikes were in very good condition, well maintained. There was a small storage area in the bike cargo bin. Very picturesque views. Pretty level ground with the exception of two small uphill climbs. The electric assist feature came in very handy for those climbs. The ride lasted about two hours with a few surprise stops on the way. One bathroom break. Unforgettable, non-touristy experience that we highly recommend.

A fun ride with beautiful views and learning about Swiss culture

Not just the fun bike ride and beautiful views of the lake and mountains, but learning about Swiss culture, such as their government and the story behind their currency. The ride itself was easy with the battery assist, just like riding a bike but less effort to pedal.

Perfect way to see Lucerne

If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. Roberto was amazing and the bikes were easy to navigate and such a great way to see the city. We loved being able to see the parts of Lucerne not readily known to tourists and Roberto was a wealth of information. If you are in Lucerne you need to book this tour!

Rob was such a great tour guide - very personable, informative, and thoughtful! It rained some during our tour, but Rob wasn’t in a rush, and brought snacks to enjoy while we waited for the rain to clear. We still got to see all of the beautiful sights of Lucerne. :) Alessio the Bear was also a hit with the locals! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Fun- “out of the box”!

My husband and I had taken a walking tour of old town Lucerne and wanted the opportunity to get out of the city and away from all the tourist areas. The Loop Tour with the cargo bike was perfect…checked all the boxes: super fun, away from city center, saw beautiful neighborhoods, local beach area, a park, beautiful scenery around the lake…did I mention super fun??….had water, snacks and Rob was a very friendly and informative guide. Recommend as an “ out of the box” fun thing to do while in Lucerne. The cargo bike was very easy to use and the e-assist was great!

Off the beaten path, small groups, great fun!

A great way to be active and see another side of Lucerne in a small group! This is not the bike tour you’re thinking of - it’s limited to a very small group, which means personal attention, no waiting for long queues - it feels like you’re out for an adventure with friends. Strongly recommend - the time goes by so fast! Also, you can alternate between pedaling the (electric) bike or riding - depending on the number of people and your own fitness level. For maximum flexibility, recommend booking direct with the provider (Loop Tours Lucerne).

Roberto was SUPERB! The bike route was breathtaking beautifully!!! He really knew the backroads and showed us places in Lucerne that we would not have seen. At the end, he gave us a sweet passport if fun filled facts - a great souvenir of Switzerland! Roberto Also recommended a fabulous lunch after the tour!!! Great fresh clean salads at Dean and David’s - tY Roberto!! We had a great tune and would highly recommend your tour!!!
