Our guide, Aladdin, was outside the front door of our hotel waiting for us (three adults). Took about an hour drive to get to Dendera, the car journey itself was an experience compared to the usual roads/driving typically in US so time didn’t seem to take too long. Aladdin gave descriptions and brought us around various parts of the temple complex with various explanations/descriptions of highlights before allowing us some free time at the end to explore the area ourselves at our own pace. The temple itself from the front exterior with the columns to me didn’t quite have the view impact as some of the other temples with the huge pylons. But Dendera is fairly complete throughout and with an additional level/story and with a lot of detail and color throughout, especially on all the ceilings. Spent most of the time here it seemed gazing upwards to take it all in. Very few people were here considering how impressive a site it was. We were leaving Luxor the next day and Aladdin also arranged us a ride to the airport, where again, he was there right right on time for our pickup to the airport.

Our favorite experience in all of Egypt. Our flight was late coming into Luxor from Cairo, and the guide Mr. Hamdy had no problem waiting a half hour after our scheduled start time. It is about an hour drive from the main tourist accommodation area but well worth it -- the temple is extremely well preserved like something out of a movie. Hamdy was able to read the hieroglyphics like it was a book and tell us all the stories that were engraved on the walls. A must-do in Luxor.

Abdo and Mustafa have been absolutely great! This is a great trip if you’re looking for a half day tour wanting to visit Dendera temple! The temple is really impressive and worth the travel. We went there after seeing the pyramids and the valley of the kings, and we were still amazed by the sheer size and level of preservation.

Aladdin was our tour guide on this wonderful experience. Both him and our driver made us feel safe. Aladdin is very knowledgeable and made our visit to Dendera Temple fascinating. He took time showing us around the temple, explaining the aspects of the temple, the uses and history. The detail in this temple is breath taking. This visit was highly enjoyable, informative, and fascinating. I would highly recommend Aladdin as a tour guide.

Beautiful well preserved temple with beautiful reliefs and sculptures and the bonus is that it not hugely busy. It is a bit of a journey to get to, but worth the trip. My guide Ahmad Abdella was excellent, very informative and attentive. I would certainly recommend this trip.

Very knowledgeable guide who made the tour of the temple really enjoyable… Barre interacted with us on personal level rather just spout out a lot of information.( He did give us a lot of information) but in an easy to take in way… I would highly recommend him if you can get him … Reflections travel had an easy to use booking system and communication was good

Dendera Temple is a must while in Egypt. It was not as crowded as other locations which allowed us to fully explore the temple and take lots of incredible photos. This was a great start to our vacation.

Transfer was comfortable and fast. The guide spoke very good Spanish. The explanation was short but focused on the peculiar things you could see only in the Dendera temple.

Reflections travel provided this half day tour of Dendera for us. Kamal Abdul Najid was the Egyptologist guide and he was thorough and did a great job, never rushed us and answered all our questions, he was knowledgeable about the history and helped us locate reliefs that we were specially interested in, in addition to his detailed explanations. The driver was good too. What we liked also of this particular tour is that it provided a late departure at 12:30 pm and we returned at 5:45 pm, thus giving us a very relaxed morning after the hectic days spent in Luxor the previous two days. Dendera was quiet and beautiful and not to be missed, the blue intricate ceilings are well preserved and it also goes through the countryside, 90 minutes from Luxor. We spent over 2 hrs in Dendera, giving us ample time to cover the entire complex with our guide.

Barre, my guide, has great knowledge and understanding of ancient history, and he can quickly answer everything when I pick up any picture of the wall and ceilings.
Manders temple is very quiet, far different than Kalnak temple, and my guide leads me the small room where powers in this temple gets together. I stood up and closed my eye, and I felt thousands years calmness.
Pictures are really well preserved, and some places, you can even observe the detailed design and pattern of dresses, that you cannot expect it anywhere else.
If you have time, definitely I would like to recommend to visit it.
