What To Expect

Combine a sightseeing trip to some of Madrid’s top landmarks with an insider’s Real Madrid tour during this experience. It’s a great way to get a quick overview for the many incredible landmarks, both contemporary and historical, that define this impressive Spanish city.

Start your trip from central Madrid heading first on a sightseeing overview of the many architectural landmarks spanning the Arab, Habsburg and medieval eras of Madrid. Head first to the Barrio de la Moreria (Moorish quarter) to learn about the city’s Moorish roots. Then check out the Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, and Calle Mayor, Prado Museum and numerous fountains which defined Madrid’s renaissance and baroque Habsburg periods.

You also pass by such sights as Puerta de la Opera, Puerta del Sol, and Monumento de la Encarnacion, discovering how the reign of King Charles III in the 18th century lead to a flowering of scientific and cultural output in Madrid. You also swing by the Royal Palace to admire its intricate façade, before continuing along the city’s elegant Gran Vía and Paseo de la Castellana boulevards. As the tour rolls on, you also get to see famous squares like the Plaza de España and Puerta de Alcala, along with the city’s iconic Retiro park, before passing Madrid’s bullring and university.

Begin part two of your excursion by heading next to Santiago Bernabeu, the renowned stadium of Real Madrid, one of the country's (and the world’s) most famous soccer clubs. During your visit, gain special access to normally off-limits sections of the facility, including its locker rooms, press room, bench, and pitch. Finish with a look at the stadium museum, adorned with countless trophies and mementos celebrating this iconic club.

End your excursion at the stadium, where you can take you time to finish your exploration at your leisure.

Walking through the walls of historical photos, videos, and listening to a collage of music was sensational.

The tour around the highlights was nice. The tour in the stadion not at all. The half of the things to visit was closed so we can not see that, but we paid the full price. If we have know that in front we would have booked are tickets at the office of the stadion. It was on half price because most things are closed.

Dear Stephanie_H Please bear in mind it was indicated on the activity description that part of the stadium could not be visisted due to constructions works, this information is available before completing any booking. Best regards

Jorge was an amazing tour guide! He has studied Madrid’s history deeply and gave a two hour presentation that was both informative and interesting. His knowledge of the city and its history are unparalleled. I recommend highly!

... this would be an ideal tour! Perfect enough to spend couple of hours on the road while sleeping. The guide gave running commentary of the highlights of Madrid and switching between Spanish and English (with accent) and it is hard to identify what she's saying.
Skip the highlights and just do Bernabeu!

Bernabeu tour was great, but Madrid highlights on a bus tour was pretty poor. Should have taken us a walking tour around the city.
      Great tour!

The tour company was very well organized and the tour was informative. I gave it four out of five stars only because, we were not aware we would have to find our own transportation back from Bernabeu stadium. It was easy to find a taxi, but a small additional cost we weren't aware of.

Fabulous opportunity to thoroughly explore the proud history of the Real Madrid Soccer Club! We had plenty of time to view highlights of the stellar history of the soccer team!

This was the worst tour ever. We got to the Julia offices and almost everyone is doing the Madrid highlights tour but they have coupled it with a different attraction. As a result of this, there are different colour tags assigned to a person depending on what the attraction is. When our tour guide came an old spanish lady i think the name was Edith or something no explanation whatsoever, no calling out who is in her group, no smiles just pure unfriendly. We had to run after her to ask if we are part of the group which she responded to irritably in Spanish. She was rushing us through out and as we drove in the bus, we had no headphones and she had no mic and as a result we could hardly hear what she was saying about the history of the town. This is a total no no!! We did not enjoy this tour and my husband was beyond mad with the treatment we got. To make things worse, once the bus get to your chosen attraction not knowing whether the tour was finished or they drop you off there because it just happens to be there at that moment you are left there to continue with your own tour. We did not mind this because we really enjoyed touring the stadium on own as it is self service this was actually the best part which got my husband calmer. Afterwards we were left to find our own way back - which was JUST GREAT for people that are not familiar with Madrid transport system. My advise is stay away from this tour, the stadium can be done privately.

Great tour. Some city sights included as well. we were dropped at the stadium where we could spend as much time as we wanted before catching the train back to hotel.

Good tour with a lot of people. Stop at Hard Rock Madrid was kinda lame, but use it as a bathroom break. Stadium tour was so worth it, you go on the field, locker room's and all through the museum. Worth every cent!

Isabel our guide was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly, and did a great job keeping the information entertaining. We visited many of the highlights of the city , and got to know where everything was so we can return at a later time to explore. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone on their first visit to Madrid, especially on the first couple of days, so they can become familiar with the city. Only thing I'd change was the tickets to the Stadium. I hadn't realized those were just entry tickets with no guide self guided tour inside. They offer a mobile device for audio for a rental price of 5 euros once inside, but they don't have headphones and with the noise and everyone talking or listening to their own device, its impossible to hear anything. Skip the device rental, not worth it.

Completely overpriced for what it was. I think it was good for aficionados of the Real Madrid football team, but nothing more. Also, they make you pay extra for a Walkman for narration. This tour would be about the same as a tour of Yankee Stadium in New York to see all of their World Championship pennants, but nothing more. I would not recommend unless you are huge fan of Real Madrid.

Hard to give this a rating as the Highlights bit of the tour was rubbish but the Bernabeu Stadium was fantastic, whether you are a football fan or not. The only advantage to this tour is it drops you off at the Stadium and you skip the queues.

First of all, our tour guide had a very heavy accent and it was difficult for us to understand her. The bus tour portion of this tour was informative and the bus itself was nice and cold during the 100 degree Madrid day. Our tour included a drop off at the Bernabeu Stadium which was one of the reasons we signed up for this particular tour. As we pulled over after a few hours of the bus tour our guide announced briefly to get off if we wanted to see what we though she said was the statute.l As we were sitting in the front of the bus we did not realize that probably half of the bus got off at this brief stop. About 20 minutes later as we were in another part of town we looked behind us and didn't know where every had gone. As we pulled into the bus depot we asked our guide when we were going to the stadium. She informed us that we were supposed to get off a ways back. We told her we did not know she announced it and showed her our unused tickets that were given to us at the beginning of the tour. She pointed over to the subway and told us we could then get to the stadium that way. My husband and I were very upset as we were so excited to see the stadium and our hotel had advised us how to return from there. The guide did not try to offer us a refund on this unused portion or anything. There should have been a better way for her to communicate to the bus which stop we should have gotten off on. It was clearly a language problem. This was the last day for us in Madrid and we returned to New York the next day. We have tacked up our unused Julia Travel Tour Bernabeu tickets on our refrigerator and hope to get there one day!

The guide was very informative and spoke excellent English. We really learned a lot about the main landmarks in central Madrid and it helped us to find our way around. My son enjoyed the stadium visit and it was very good too. A bonus was that we were the only ones on the tour and so we had the bus to ourselves!

Excellent. Allow at least three hours to tour the stadium. You get to see the museum, press room, broadcast centre, home and away dressing rooms, sit on the reserves bench and also see the almost fake looking grass pitch. It's that good. The rest of the tour is also good taking in the main sites.
