Cramped bus ride to Essaouira and not a tour with stops

We experienced a cramped bus ride opposed to a tour. The ride stopped at an argan oil cooperative (expect for commission) and not the goat tree as offered on the tour details. On arrival at Essaouira we were given 4 hours to explore with no stops at the itinerary options mentioned on the tour. If your just looking for a bus ride to get to the town this is ok, but any information shared, sights shown and the goat tree this is not for you!

It was a great day out however 5 hours on your own is too long especially during winter time When there’s not many activities happening on the beach

We were picked up on time at our riad, then was dropped at the connection hub, which we waited approx 10 mns to board a minibus. The bus ride went smooth, Mustafa is safe and good driver. We passed by the “goat on the argon tree” which is totally a joke. We also stopped to visit the coop women how they process the Argan oil, didn’t do a good job to explain at all, it was fast and pointless, and the price is really bumped up, so we did not buy anything. Essaouira is charming little fish village, we got a freshly grilled fish platter of sardines, scampi, shrimps, dorade and squid for only 150dh, which is worth it IMO. The Medina is much more relax and less pressure than Marrakech, so it is a good break. We stayed there for 4 hours in total, one can continue for an overnight stay but I think it is ok as a day trip. We got dropped off near the hotel at 7:30.
