We pick up at most West Side Hotels and Condos. with a specific lodging location to confirm your transportation pick-up location. If you are staying at a private vacation rental (Airbnb)or coming off the cruise ship in Kahului, please contact us for the nearest pickup location as we do not provide transportation from these areas. Not providing your lodging will result in a defaulted pick-up location at the Ma'alaea Park and Ride.

We arrived up top with 40 minutes to see the beautiful night sky and all the stars. Then from first light to sun up was a beautiful display of color. Our guide educated us on different plants, flowers and birds in the area. We stopped to eat breakfast and had the best Macadamia Nut Pancakes I’ve ever tasted and fresh juice. Highly recommend the breakfast place too!!

The sunrise tour was just spectacular. We really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and told us interesting facts and history of the area and crater. The breakfast at the end was really good. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Maui.

The experience was terrific from pick up to our driver Keith cracking jokes to lighten the early morning and also giving a very nice and informative narration of Haleakala and the island. We got the best spot at the summit and breakfast after was terrific. Super organized and a great time.

Trevor was right on time to pick us up, the van was clean and comfortable, the music playing was delightful. He was the perfect narrator of Hawaiian history on the way back down the mountain. Such an enjoyable trip!

Not a great experience

Our tour guide Trevor was really good and knowledgeable along with funny. I wish there was a way they could track the weather prior to making the trip. It was a very long morning and we ended up just seeing fog. All that was given to us was 15% of the next time we do it. For $425 / couple I think it was a waste. If we saw a view it would’ve been better and although it wasn’t their fault, they should have some sort of system with all the technology to see the weather.

The sunrise was amazing! This had been on my bucket list & it didn’t not disappoint. Our guide, Trevor, was great! Very knowledgeable. It’s really nice that the company provides jackets - some of the other tours did not. DRESS WARM, we are from MN and still thought it was freezing. The breakfast restaurant had an amazing view too. The Loco Moco & waffles were very good.

This was truly an amazing experience. Our tour guide was patient and knowledgeable. Keep in mind the tour starts at 2am and layer up because the temperature is will be in the 30’s.

This was such a breathtaking sight to see. Keith was our tour guide and he did an excellent job! I felt like we got the most out of this tour because we were ones of the first buses to make it to the top so we got first row seating! Also, we were there early enough to see the stars too! Loved every minute of this excursion!

Mona, our driver/guide was the most attentive and well versed in the Hawaiian cultures gave us much needed advice and share experience among our group. He volunteered to take great pictures of us as we requested. He seemed to enjoy the trip as much as we did. Very personable guide and made me feel as a group travelled friends rather than tourists. Best experience seeing the sunrise, the crater surface and rocks. Early rise and Price was worth it.

We loved Trevor! He was full of knowledge about not only Haleakala but the geography, topography, flora & fauna, history and current affairs of the Islands. He made the experience so much more than just a beautiful sunrise. One other important point was his driving; he took great care to drive safely, not in a rush. He was mindful that those in the van might not take the curvy roads well. It was a great visit to one of the most spectacular places on this Earth!

It's worth getting up for. More beautiful than I can describe. The WIND was ridiculously cold, making it hard to hold my camera as I couldn't wear gloves and operate my phone. The breakfast stop was amazing as well. The guides say a native song at sunrise which was outstanding.

Worth the trip

My husband and I were very excited for this experience, unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans. We were unable to get a look at the sunrise but we otherwise had a great time! Our driver Glenn was beyond amazing!!! He went above and beyond to make it an experience to remember. Breakfast was ok but the view was amazing!!

Each experience is different at the Summit and even though you may have not encountered the Sunrise in all it's glory, you got to experience the sacred place we hold so dear. Skyline tours certainly did all they could to ensure that the Sunrise Tour with Breakfast was enjoyable. Having said that, I would not be interested in repeating the experience because the swurvy ride up in the dark left me ill with motion sickness. It was too windy and colder than the jackets that were provided - stocking caps would have helped. The sunrise was nice and simple with the lack of clouds to enhance. The clouds that filled the crater and were beneath the sun were the unique feature of our Haleakala sunrise. The breakfast was delicious at the delightful and charming Kula Ranch.

Tour is great but a bit pricey

The tour was good - clearly, the drive is something we could have done ourselves. Our guide was fantastic - great sense of humor & very friendly/helpful guy. The breakfast was delicious & location had a great view. Our only & main question is - exactly what part of the tour made it cost $177 per person? That seemed a bit steep after taking the tour.

A lot of people choose to do the drive on their own but those who don't want the stress of driving, jump on a tour that gives them a little more than a ride.We strive to accommodate all guest and our hope is that they take away a little knowledge and history of Haleakala as well as some amazing memories.
