They canceled on us last minute. We went down to meet them at 6:00 and they never showed. Checked email and they canceled in the middle of the night.

Terrible experience with tour company, they canceled last minute. It was very disheartening, please don't book this excursion. You will be wasting your vacation time. Viator needs to remove it completely off the site. Unprofessional and unacceptable.

This tour was cancelled whilst we were waiting for the bus to collect us. We were only on the island of Maui for 2 days, so we were unable to rebook with a different tour operator due to the extremely short notice received. To say that we were disappointed would be an understatement, to then realise after reading reviews left a month before our trip that Viator were aware of the tour operator cancelling at short notice in the past made me so angry. I then check today and they are still selling this tour!! I will never use Viator again, in future I will book with the hotel or a local guide.

I read the reviews but hoped that my experience would be different. No such luck. Do not use Paramount! They didn't confirm pick up time the day prior, which should have been my clue, but were still hoping for the best. We researched and determined that the pick up should be 6am. We got to that location just before 6am. A few minutes after 6am, I received a notice that it was canceled due to not enough people signed up. This would have been known the day before and communicated to guest so that they could make other plans for the day. Viator needs to dump these people or they will be losing customers like me and all of the other people that had this same horrible experience.

Terrible tour operator, and i hold viator responsible for continuing to do business with them. Like many other reviewers we had our tour cancelled at the last minute due to insufficient bookings. No advance notice, no opportunity to book a different tour, as it was our last day. Viator should disclose the possibility of cancellation up front, and have contingency plans available. They should make a go/no go decision 2-3 days before the trip to give people the opportunity to do something different. If there are only 3-4 people booked they aren’t going to fill it up in the next two days. So no reason for waiting until the last minute and disappointing people.

If you’re reading this, please pick a different tour guide! The host (Paramount Tours) has to be the WORST tour guides on the island. Are they even a real tour company? I booked with them through Viator because it was less expensive than booking through their website (very strange). On the ticket, it said they’d contact me for lunch orders & confirm a pick-up time… they never did. Day of tour, my friend & i tried contacting them via email/chat & phone. They never answered and the voicemail box was full. We waited until 9:30 am and no one came and/or contacted us about a late pick up. We called Viator about the situation and said they’d put in a refund request for me (this was on 8/29 and i’m writing this 9/2). This was so unfortunate because it was our last day on the island and could not reschedule or find a different Road to Hana tour last minute. This company is a scam!

Don’t book this tour! I was scheduled to go on Friday, August 30 for pickup at the Sheraton. I waited 45 minutes no one showed up and didn’t get a call that it was canceled.

Trip was canceled 59 minutes prior to scheduled meet up. We were already on our way at 7:30 am when we received the email stating the tour was cancelled last minute due to minimum passengers not being met and were offered a full refund. One week later & still no refund has been processed. We booked with another tour group the next day and had a great experience. I read reviews of this happening to other people who were also getting canceled on last minute but decided to ignore because of the good reviews. Save your time and money & book with another company.

I could not go for the trip ( my tour was to road to Hana on 17th aug) as the travel agent paramount tours (My.booking ref no was BR1149694771) canceled the trip just 2 hrs before the trip saying that he could not find more passengers. I was left with nothing, I tried to book with other travel agents but as it was last minute booking no one accepted my request. I am sure he must have known a night before that we are only 2 who have booked with him but he did not let me know earlier. I even tried calling him but my calls went to voice mail with no response from him. Had he told me earlier I could have tried with someone else. I live in India and am not going to come back again to Hawaii so wanted to see everything but my plans were spoiled .

This tour was cancelled & we didn’t get any kind of notification. No call, no email, nothing. We waited at the pick up location for over an hour & tried calling the tour operator for any type of update & no one answered. We had to contact viator to get an update & it was only through them that we found out the tour got cancelled last minute. Took us a few days to get a full refund. Strongly do not recommend this company.

This tour was canceled without any prior notification. We waited for 2 hours at the pickup point. Was only told by calling Viator as the local operator was not answering the phone or replying to their own email chain system during their stated opening hours. I've been assured a 100% refund which I request to be processed immediately. To receive this opinion email is further salt in the wound. This whole experience has been awful and spoilt a major part of our vacation.

We had ae horrible experience with viator. We only had one day in Maui, Hawaii and we booked a tour through viator tour. However on the day of pick-up nobody showed up to pick us up. I had confirmed everything with Viator few times previously to make sure the pick up time and location was correct. When we called them all they said was sorry. They don't care much about their customer and how they can ruin their vacation. I heard this happens quite oft toon.

Jason was amazing! I was a singleton joining a large family of 9 (ironically fm my hometown in CA) but fit right in! Jason provided a safe tour filled with laughter, hawaiian culture and history, giving us the lay of the land and even a hawaiian language lesson. Our day had intermittent rain (which none of us minded) so we switched up the tour stops a little but still saw so much. He never rushed us and was a stand in photographer to make sure we all had picturesque memories from the day! Great finds along the way: lychees, macadamia brittle, HuliHuli chicken entrees, Aunty Sandys Banana Bread (warm!!), shaved ice (pro tip: must add vanilla ice cream), Rainbow Eucalyptus Trees, multiple raging waterfalls, Black Sands Beach, Red Sand Beach, Aunty V’s Botanical Garden and too many more to list. I highly recommend Jason if youre looking for a next level experience!

Our Road to Hana tour was cancelled at 1am when we were supposed to be picked up at 5am. I tried to confirm our pickup the night before our tour but received no response. Our tour was cancelled due to a "tour guide emergency" which seems to be a common occurrence for this tour company! The refund process was long and stressful. Don't waste your time! Book with someone else.
